Description

Total Km: 208 or 256

Day 1: Amsterdam | Amsterdam - Zaandam by boat
Arrival individually in Amsterdam and embarkation between 1pm and 2pm (possibility to bring your luggage on board starting from 11am).
Departure by boat to Zaandam where the boat will remain anchored for the night. Possibility of a short ride to try out the rented bikes.
In the evening, do not miss the opportunity for a walk in this lively and hospitable town just outside of Amsterdam.
Dinner and overnight stay on board.

Day 2: Zaandam - Zaanse Schans Museum - Hoorn (41 or 51 km)
After breakfast, departure for the first bike stage towards the nearby Zaanse Schans open-air museum, famous for its wooden houses and grand windmills.
Then, continue pedaling through green countryside, crossing small villages of the Waterland until reaching Hoorn, where your boat will be waiting.
Dinner and overnight stay on board.

Day 3: Hoorn - Volendam - Marken by ferry | Marken - Volendam - Muiden (39 or 46 km) | Muiden - Vianen by boat
After breakfast, departure to Volendam and from here by ferry (a 30 minute crossing approx) to Marken.
After a brief tour of the village, you can start cycling along the coast to Ijburg, a newly built residential area located in the eastern part of Amsterdam and built, as often happens in Holland, on reclaimed land.
Continue on to the historical city of Muiden known for the medieval castle built at the mouth of the river.
The stage concludes near the town of Weesp from where the boat will sail, during dinner, to Vianen, a small fortified town on the Lower Rhine.

Day 4: Vianen - Schoonhoven | Schoonhoven - Kinderdijk (32 km) | Kinderdijk - Rotterdam (waterbus)
During breakfast, the boat will set sail for Schoonhoven from where we will begin our bike ride through the Alblasserwaard polder, a UNESCO site with the famous 19 windmills of Kinderdijk Park. From here you continue by ferry to Rotterdam, one of the oldest Dutch cities.
Dinner and overnight stay on board.
Day 5: Rotterdam - Gouda (35 or 45 km)
Today, cycle towards Gouda, the Dutch capital of the famous cheese. Absorb the atmosphere of this ancient city and the market square.
Day 6: Gouda - Leiden - Oude Wetering (33 or 54 km)
Today, you can start pedaling from Gouda through the typical landscapes of the Green Heart of Holland with expanses of green meadows, small canals, and characteristic lakes, all below sea level!
After passing the city of Leiden, Rembrandt's birthplace and the site of the ancient Dutch university, continue towards the final destination, Oude Wetering.

Day 7: Oude Wetering – Amsterdam (28 km)
The last bike stage of your journey begins at Oude Watering, first along the canal and then venturing into the Amsterdam Woods and towards the capital.
In the afternoon, you have the chance to take one last exciting bike ride in the Waterland, or discover the surprising city of Amsterdam by visiting a flower market, a museum, or simply doing some shopping.
Dinner and overnight stay on board.

Day 8: Amsterdam
After breakfast, end of services.

Given the nature of this tour and the characteristics of the territory, the itinerary could be subject to changes due to weather conditions or the opening times of locks and movable bridges. The guide and the captain can decide from day to day whether and how to modify the program.
