Description

Day 1: Strasbourg
Individual arrival in Strasbourg in the late afternoon. Take some time to visit this magnificent city, always a crossroads of continental Europe, open and cosmopolitan enough to be the seat of the European Parliament and the Commission for Civil Rights.

Day 2: Strasbourg - Obernai (40 or 55 km)
The Bruche canal was once used to transport the wine produced in the region to Strasbourg. Today, the bike path follows the canal from Strasbourg to Molsheim. Before reaching Obernai, encircled by its ancient walls, you will encounter a 12th-century church in Rosheim.

Day 3: Obernai - Riquewihr (50 or 35 km)
Today's stage takes you through famous vineyards and some of the most typical wine villages in Alsace such as Mittelbergheim, Andlau, Itterswiller and Riquewihr.

Day 4: Riquewhir – Colmar (40 km)
Ammerschwihr, and its renowned Cru of Kaefferkopf, overlook the nearby towns of Turckheim and Eguisheim. In the early afternoon, you will reach Colmar, the capital of Alsace wines, an exceptional city for the richness and variety of its historical and architectural heritage, offering more than 1000 years of history.

Day 5: Free day in Colmar or circular tour Guebwiller/Mulhouse (50 or 80 km+return by train)
From Colmar, you can cycle south along the Wine Road through its typical villages. From Guebwiller, you will continue by bike to Bollwiller. Afterwards, you can choose to take a train or continue the route by bike towards Ungersheim and the Alsace Ecomuseum. From here the bike path will lead you directly to Mulhouse. Return by train to Colmar (ticket not included).

Day 6: Colmar - Mulhouse (65 km)
From Colmar, you'll head east to Neuf Brisach and then south to Ottmarsheim and its beautiful 12th century church. One last ride awaits you through the Hardt forest and along the Rhine canal leading you into the heart of Mulhouse. The city has skillfully transformed its industrial past into a wonderful source of knowledge and curiosity: you'll be amazed when you discover the caliber of its museums, all intimately linked to the famous industries that have determined the city's wealth. For example, the Automobile Museum is one of the most exciting in the world, with its impressive collection of vehicles on display to be discovered by young and old.

Day 7: Mulhouse - Basel (55 km)
Following the Rhine-Rhône canal and on the EuroVelo 6 trail, you will cross the Three Countries Bridge to reach the Swiss city of Basel, the oldest university town in Switzerland. The large Market Square, its richly decorated red sandstone town hall and the late Roman and Gothic style cathedral constitute the historic symbols of the city. With around 40 museums, it is the city with the highest density of museums in the country, which are known worldwide.

Day 8: Basel
After breakfast, end of services and individual departure.
