Description

Day 1: Stintino
Private transfer or individual arrival in Stintino and overnight stay.

Day 2: Asinara
Rest day. Visit to the Asinara National Park. Asinara is an island that became a National Park in 1998, after being home to penal colonies and maximum security prisons. This situation has preserved the local flora and fauna from pollution and degradation. There are numerous endemics on the island, among which the famous white donkey.

Day 3: Stintino – Alghero (65 km)
Heading south, you pass the abandoned village of Argentiera and Lake Baratz, the only natural lake on the island. You will stay overnight in Alghero, the beautiful Aragonese city of the Coral Riviera.

Day 4: Alghero – Capo Caccia – Alghero (54 km)
Ride through the narrow streets of Alghero's interesting historical center, where the Catalan dialect is still spoken. Continuing west, you travel the Coral Riviera to Capo Caccia, where you can visit the famous Neptune’s caves.

Day 5: Alghero – Bosa (50 km)
Proceed along a spectacular road overlooking the sea admiring the panorama of the Gulf of Alghero and Capo Caccia. The emotions continue: you will see the pink, red and grey rocks of Capo Marargiu, where the few remaining griffon vultures fly. Sleep in Bosa, a medieval town dominated by the Malaspina castle and famous for its embroideries and gold filigree.

Day 6: Bosa (21 or 62 km)
Visit the medieval village with its pastel-colored houses embellished with red trachyte carvings, typical goldsmith shops and enchanting beaches. Pleasant walk among the vineyards along the Bosa Malvasia Route, with DOC wine tastings in renowned wineries.

Day 7: Bosa – Santu Lussurgiu (54 km)
After visiting Bosa, you venture into the hinterland and pass through Flussio and Tinnura, where women still weave baskets of asphodel leaves as in the past. Cycling along a very suggestive road, cross Sagama to reach the source of St. Leonardo, an ideal place for a refreshing break. End the day along a pleasant country road that leads to Santu Lussurgiu, a town famous for its equestrian crafts.

Day 8: Santu Lussurgiu – Well of Santa Cristina – Santu Lussurgiu (42 km)
Visit the rural museum of Santu Lussurgiu or ride to the enchanting archaeological site of Santa Cristina to admire the fascinating sacred well dating back to the XVIII century B.C.

Day 9: Santu Lussurgiu – Cabras (57 km)
Return to the coast with a wonderful panoramic descent towards the Sinis ponds inhabited by pink flamingos, where one of the most beautiful places on the island is located: the bright white quartz beach of Is Arutas. This night you will stay in a cozy country hotel.

Day 10: Cabras – Sinis Peninsula – Cabras (52 km)
Discover the ancient Phoenician settlement of Tharros and the early Christian church of the 5th century or simply relax on the beach sipping a glass of vernaccia, the local white wine.

Day 11: Cabras
After breakfast, end of services.
