Day 1: Vilnius
Individual arrival and hotel accommodation. At 19:30: welcome briefing and presentation of the route.
Day 2: Vilnius – Trakai (33 km) | by minibus (75 km)
After breakfast, guided tour of the city of Vilnius, the capital of Lithuania for over 600 years. In the afternoon, bus transfer to Trakai, the ancient capital of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania, where the famous 14th century castle is located on a small island on Lake Galve. From here, the first stage of the bike route begins, going through the picturesque countryside characterized by gentle hills. A bus transfer to Kaunas follows. Overnight in a hotel in Kaunas.
Day 3: Kaunas – Klaipeda (40 km) | by minibus (230 km)
After breakfast, you will cycle around Kaunas and then along the Nemunas river to the coast. Along the path, you will encounter Zapyškis, a small town located on the river, and its magnificent Gothic church dating back to the 14th century. A minibus transfer will then take you to Klaipeda, a modern town on the Baltic Sea.
Day 4: Klaipeda – Curonian Peninsula National Park – Klaipeda (57 km) | by minibus or boat (50 km)
The biking stage will take you through the Curonian Peninsula National Park, an ideal place to discover by bike, thanks to the bike path that runs through the entire peninsula and offers stunning views of the sea on one side and the lagoon on the other. The route has interesting stops, including the Dead Dunes, a narrow strip of land with the highest moving dunes in Europe. Enjoy the beautiful views of the Neringa Peninsula, separating the Baltic Sea from the Curonian Lagoon. You'll then cycle to the town of Nida, an old fishing village, and today, one of the main tourist spots of the Curonian Peninsula. At the end of the day a minibus or boat transfer will bring you back to Klaipėda, optional dinner at the hotel.
Day 5: Klaipeda – Palanga – Riga (32 km) | by minibus (290 km)
The bike stage starts early in the morning through the Sea Regional Park, once a Soviet military training area. Palanga is the major seaside resort of Lithuania, hence its nickname the Summer Capital. The city, located on the ancient Amber Way, was in the past a center for amber processing and trade. We suggest visiting the botanical garden and the Amber Museum. In the afternoon, a bus transfer to Riga (290 km), capital of Latvia, with a stop at the moving Hill of Crosses, a place of unforgettable allure, with its four hundred thousand crosses brought here by pilgrims. Overnight in a hotel in Riga.
Day 6: Riga – Jurmala – Riga (30 km) | by train not included (25 km)
After breakfast, visit to the old town of Riga, a Hansa city known for its Art Nouveau buildings. In the afternoon, you can either stay in the city or cycle to Jurmala, the main seaside resort of the Baltic states, famous for its long white beaches, mineral-rich waters, and curative muds. Return to Riga by train (about 30 minutes, not included). Overnight in a hotel in Riga.
Day 7: Riga – Gauja National Park – Sigulda (40 km) | by minibus (50 km)
After breakfast, bus transfer to Saulkrasti, in the Gauja River Valley. The bike route to Sigulda begins from here, moving through the Gauja National Park, offering magnificent views of the river valley and the beautiful Gutmana cave, the deepest in the Baltic countries, with 17th century engravings on its walls. Visit to the Turaida and Krimulda castles, the former hosting the oldest church of Latvia, dating back to 1205. Overnight in a hotel in Sigulda.
Day 8: Sigulda – Saaremaa Island (38 km) |by minibus (330 km) | by ferry (6 km)
Morning bus transfer to Saaremaa, the largest of the Estonian islands, which has preserved all the best of old Estonia. With little traffic and flat roads, Saaremaa provides a perfect rural environment for cycling. You'll bike along picturesque roads along the Baltic Sea coast to the Angla site, which hosts the famous windmills. Transfer to Mandjala, where you will stay for two days, by the sea. Overnight in a hotel in Mandjala.
Day 9: Saaremaa Island (46 km) | by minibus (40 km)
Enjoy the day cycling through the wild nature of Saaremaa Island and the Sorve Peninsula, to reach the Cape Sorve lighthouse. Historically, the peninsula had great military importance, as it dominated the Irbe Strait and The Baltic Sea route to Riga. Overnight in a hotel in Mandjala.
Day 10: Saaremma Island – Tallinn (40 km) |by minibus (210 km) | by ferry (6 km)
Morning bike tour to the evocative Kaali craters: a group of 9 craters created by the fall of a meteorite near the village; a natural wonder. Along the route, you will pass through Kuressaare, the capital of Saaremaa Island, which houses one of the best preserved episcopal castles of the Baltic States, dating back to the 13th century.
Afterwards, bus transfer to Tallinn and guided tour of the historic center.
Day 11: Tallinn
After breakfast, end of services and individual departure.
