Description

Day 1: Amalfi
Arrival and check-in at the hotel in the heart of the Amalfi Coast, in Amalfi. In the late afternoon one of our managers will be happy to meet you to deliver the bikes and for a short introductory meeting. In case you arrive in the morning and have time available, you can try your hand at a first ride towards Ravello. Ravello is an elegant medieval village suspended halfway between the sky and the sea. It boasts the most prestigious villas of the entire Amalfi Coast, including Villa Cimbrone and Villa Rufolo, and from their gardens you can admire a breathtaking view. In the evening, you can enjoy a walk in the center of Amalfi and choose from one of the many restaurants for your dinner.

Day 2: Vietri – Cetara – Capo d’Orso – Maiori – Minori – Ravello – Atrani (50 – 70 km)
After a hearty breakfast you will leave for the first bike excursion. Following the sinuous curves of the coastal road, you will reach Vietri sul Mare, the gateway to the Amalfi Coast, known throughout the world for its production of colorful ceramics. After Vietri, returning to Amalfi, take some time to visit Cetara, an ancient fishing village whose name derives from the Latin cetus, tuna. In fact, this country bases its economy on fishing, in particular that of tuna. Continuing the excursion to Capo d’Orso, you will find yourself on the highest point of the road, from which you can enjoy a breathtaking view over the entire Amalfi Coast and the island of Capri. After a short break, continue towards Maiori, one of the largest villages on the Amalfi Coast and, after a few kilometers, you will reach Minori, a charming village where you can taste typical sweets in one of the most famous pastry shops in the area. A short climb will take you towards Castiglione, which was once part of the defense system of the ancient Maritime Republic of Amalfi. From here you can choose to continue uphill towards Ravello, if you haven’t made a stop yet, or continue towards Amalfi. Before returning to the hotel, treat yourself to a visit to picturesque Atrani, one of the smallest villages in Italy. In the evening you will be free to choose to dine in one of the many restaurants that the area offers.

Day 3: Amalfi – Praiano – Positano – Sant’Agata sui Due Golfi (35 – 40 km)
Today you will travel the second stretch of the Amalfi Road from Amalfi to Sant’Agata sui Due Golfi which, located on the crest of the mountain, offers a wide view of the Gulf of Amalfi and that of Sorrento. On leaving Amalfi, stop for a short visit to the Emerald Grotto and the Fiordo di Furore, a deep gorge carved by the sea, where an ancient fishing community resides. Beyond Praiano, you will arrive in the worldly and picturesque Positano. Park your bike and take a walk, crossing the narrow alleys of the town that will lead you to the beach. Once back in the saddle, a short climb will take you to Colli di San Pietro, a real watershed between the Amalfi Coast and the Sorrento Peninsula. Finally, a last short stretch of road will lead you to Colli di Fontanelle: from here a few kilometers separate you from Sant’Agata sui Due Golfi, where your farmhouse is located (on request you can choose to stay overnight in the hotel). After settling in, dinner will be served based on sublime typical products, strictly zero kilometer!

Day 4: Sant’Agata sui Due Golfi – Sorrento (40 – 50 km)
Today’s excursion will take you to the extreme tip of the Sorrentine Peninsula. Pedaling along the first stretch of the road, you will understand why this place takes the name of Sant’Agata sui Due Golfi. On the one hand, you can admire the Gulf of Salerno and the Amalfi Coast, on the other, you will enjoy an incomparable view of Sorrento and the Gulf of Naples, dominated by the imposing Vesuvius Volcano. From here, continue on the flat until you reach Punta Campanella. From the last village, not surprisingly called Termini, you can go up to the chapel of San Costanzo, from which you will enjoy a 360 ° view over the entire gulf. Those who still want to pedal can go down to the beach of Marina del Cantone, with a detour to the Bay of Ieranto, and then continue towards Sorrento, passing through the small village of Massa Lubrense. After visiting Sorrento and a walk in the alleys of the historic center, you will return to the farmhouse in Sant’Agata.

Giorno 5: Sant’Agata sui Due Golfi
After breakfast, end of services.
