Description

Day 1: Trieste
Individual arrival in Trieste, the city that inspired renowned writers. We suggest you relax in one of the city's historic cafes where nothing has changed since the days of famous literary figures like Svevo, Saba, and Stendhal used to sit at their tables, penning their works. Take a stroll around Piazza Unità d’Italia, also known as Trieste's living room, and let its majesty enchant you. If time allows, we recommend you explore Miramare Castle, which stands high above the sea, holding stories of love and power just a few kilometers from the city.

Day 2: Trieste – Piran/Portorož (35 or 65 km)
The first bike tour will take you across the Italian border to explore the beauty of Slovenia quickly. The easy cycling paths will lead you towards the picturesque Koper and Izola, then guide you towards the famous Piran and Portorož, gems of the Slovenian Riviera, renowned for their thermal centers. If you prefer a shorter route, you can take the ferry from Trieste to Muggia (ticket not included), while the longer variant winds through the Rosandra Valley. From Muggia along the seafront, you will be enchanted by breathtaking views and the intoxicating sea aroma.

Day 3: Piran/Portorož – Umag (35 or 60 km)
After a hearty breakfast, you will set off on your bike to discover the Sečovlje salt pans, where salt is still harvested according to ancient traditions. You will then cross the Croatian border to venture into Istria, the largest peninsula in the Adriatic Sea. Here the territory is slightly hilly and the route towards Umag is characterized by orchards and vineyards. Umag will welcome you with its ancient charm, a village of Roman roots today known for the prestigious “ATP - Croatia Open” tennis tournament. Leaving Umag, the bike path will take you inland, where nature reigns supreme up to Livade or Motovun, cities appreciated for their wine and food products. The evening will offer a pleasant walk through the medieval city streets up to the city tower.

Day 4: Umag – Poreč (20 or 40 km)
From Umag, the route follows the coast to Novigrad-Cittanova, a maritime gem enclosed by fortified walls and washed by the River Quieto. Your adventure continues towards Poreč, a city that enchants with its art and history. Here, you must not miss the visit to the Euphrasian Basilica, a UNESCO masterpiece that will leave you breathless with its magnificent mosaics.

Day 5: Poreč
After breakfast, end of services and individual departure or possibility to extend your stay.
