Description

Day 1: Copenhagen
Upon arrival at the hotel, you'll have free time to explore the Danish capital. Visit Nyhavn, the Royal Castle, or the Tivoli amusement park. Overnight stay in downtown Copenhagen.

Day 2: Copenhagen – Hørsholm (36 km)
Biking around Copenhagen is a fantastic way to start a tour of Denmark's castles. You'll pass some famous landmarks, such as the Little Mermaid and Bellevue Beach, before continuing to Dyrehaven, the royal hunting grounds, with centuries-old trees and deer herds. Here, you'll also find Bakken, the oldest amusement park in the world. Then you'll reach your hotel in Hørsholm, on the Øresund coast.

Day 3: Hørsholm – Helsingør (20 km)
Today, you'll cycle along the coast, passing two of Denmark's most beautiful museums. In Rungsted, you can visit Rungstedlund, the home of Danish author Karen Blixen (known worldwide for Out of Africa), while in Humlebæk, you can visit the Louisiana Museum of Modern Art, famous not only for its exhibitions, but also for its beautiful architecture and location. You'll arrive in Helsingør, where you can spend the afternoon visiting the old town with the impressive Kronborg Castle (Shakespeare's Hamlet’s castle).

Day 4: Helsingør – Gilleleje (26 km)
The route north of Helsingør is unique and offers a stunning view of the Swedish coast, only 4 km away. You'll cycle up to Hornbæk, where you can find one of the most beautiful beaches in Denmark. After a good lunch, you'll continue along the coast, on small roads that pass next to a couple of lighthouses. You'll reach Gilleleje, a lively fishing village and the northernmost town in Zealand, but also the most important port and resort on its northern coast. Here, you'll find a beautiful beach and a nice harbor with excellent restaurants, before staying overnight in a beach hotel with sea views.

Day 5: Gilleleje – Hillerød (30 or 48 km)
Leaving your lovely seaside hotel, you'll cycle to Tisvildeleje, which is worth a stop. Tisvildeleje is a quiet seaside village, near Tisvildehegn National Park. This is a great place for a lunch break, before continuing away from the coast. You'll cycle along bike paths to Helsinge and continue into one of Denmark's largest forests, Grib Skov, to Hillerød. You'll cycle through the Frederiksborg Castle park and reach the market square, where you'll find a small ferry that will take you around the castle lake. Enjoy the summer evening on the square, admiring the lake and the castle. Overnight stay in Hillerød.

Day 6: Hillerød – Copenhagen (51 km)
Heading south to Copenhagen, you'll cross idyllic landscapes, charming woods, and wetland areas with rich birdlife. You'll be amazed by the wealth of nature in such a densely populated area near the capital. You'll also be surprised how easy it is to cycle from the green North Zealand to the capital of Denmark. When you reach Nørrebro, one of the most colorful districts in Copenhagen, take a look around to admire the number of cyclists headed toward the city. Overnight stay in downtown Copenhagen.

Day 7: Copenhagen
After breakfast, services end and individual departure. There's the possibility to extend your stay.
