Description

Day 1: Cheltenham
Individual arrival in Cheltenham and hotel accommodation. Free time to explore Cheltenham Spa, one of the most complete Regency Towns in Great Britain. Overnight stay in Cheltenham.

Day 2: Cheltenham – Moreton-in-Marsh (37/48 km)
The day starts with a short transfer from Cheltenham to the Cotswolds and continues through the gentle rises and falls of the beautiful countryside. Cycle through small villages accompanied by stunning views and hidden valleys. You will then reach the picture-perfect village of Snowshill. Here you can visit the Manor house that houses a splendid collection of antiques ranging from traditional farming tools to Samurai armour. At the Cotswold Farm Park, you can see traditional breeds of farm animals while Sezincote House showcases exotic Indian architecture. Descending, you will reach Moreton, where the broad street is lined with traditional stone buildings and a colourful marketplace still takes place every Tuesday. Overnight in Moreton in Marsh.

Day 3: Moreton-in-Marsh – Chipping Campden – Moreton-in-Marsh (29/40 km)
This day includes a circular tour that will allow you to explore the area around Moreton. The ancient commercial town of Moreton-in-Marsh (literally Moreton in the marsh) is no longer actually in a marsh. Its name derives from the Old English "marches" meaning frontier area because it was on the border of four counties. You can admire some spectacular views right along the northern edge of the Cotswolds. You can explore one of the areas with the most historic villages like Chipping Campden and stroll through the glorious gardens of Hidcote Manor or Kiftsgate Court before having lunch in one of the charming Cotswold villages. Overnight in Moreton in Marsh.

Day 4: Moreton-in-Marsh – Bourton-on-the-Water (29/41 km)
A relatively easy tour along the valley of the River Evenlode. Pleasant roads wind through quiet villages and lead to extensive views of the Oxfordshire countryside. The market town of Stow on the Wold is clustered around a square that once saw up to 20,000 sheep per day. The beautiful villages of Upper and Lower Slaughter offer a range of enchanting scenery in contrast to the hustle and bustle of Bourton, the best known part of the village. With a variety of attractions, from tropical birds to an eccentric Motor Museum, a perfumery, and even a perfect scale model of the village, there is something for everyone. Overnight in Bourton on the Water.

Day 5: Bourton-on-the-Water – Burford – Bourton-on-the-Water (34/53 km)
Today's stage will be circular and will allow you to explore the countryside and villages around Bourton on the Water. Returning along the opposite bank of the river, you will travel through the delightful villages of Little Barrington, Windrush and Sherborne. Overnight in Bourton on the Water.

Day 6: Bourton-on-the-Water – Cheltenham (40 km)
Today, you will cycle from Cirencester to Cheltenham to visit many small Costwold's villages. Don't miss Chedworth's Roman Villa. It is the most complete villa that can be seen in Britain with mosaic floors, bathrooms, and heating system all on display in their original settings. There is also a collection of artefacts in the museum and a visitors’ centre. Ride back to Cheltenham to enjoy a stroll in the city. There are many elegant buildings, stunning parks and gardens, and fascinating museums. Overnight in Cheltenham.

Day 7: Cheltenham
After breakfast, services end and individual departure.
