Description

Day 1: Matera
Arrival in Matera, briefing and bike fitting. Time to discover the Sassi district and cycle to the Murgia plateau (30 km). Overnight in a typical room in the old town, rich of caves and rock churches.

Day 2: Matera to Alberobello (69 km)
Leaving Matera (in the Basilicata region) you are in Puglia in few km. Crossing Gioia del Colle you find the country ways to reach Noci and Alberobello, a unique village rich of “Trulli” houses, with typical conical roofs. Overnight in a Trullo.

Day 3: Alberobello to Ostuni (45 km)
You cross the Itria Valley with stops in Locorotondo, Cisternino and Martina Franca, villages rich or history, art, good food and wine. You are in the Hearth of Puglia. Your final destination is Ostuni, the white town, facing the Adriatic Sea from a hill. Overnight.

Day 4: Ostuni to Monopoli/Polignano a Mare (40 km)
Last day cycling along the coast crossing the widest olive groves of Puglia an riding the Adriatic coast. Monopoli and Polignano a Mare, rich of life and Apulian atmosphere, will leave you a nice memory of this short break. You’ll want to come back!

Day 5: Breakfast and end of tour
After breakfast in Monopoli, end of services.
