Description

Sure, here is the bicycle trip program translated into English and formatted as HTML text: ```html
Day 1: Ljubljana
Individual arrival in Ljubljana, the capital of Slovenia. Accommodation in the hotel and free time to visit the historic center, rich in charming late-century buildings.

Day 2: Ljubljana – Vrhnika (41 km; +150/-160 m)
The first stage of your bike trip in Slovenia starts right after breakfast, when you will begin to cycle through a wide marshy plain that extends for 160 sq km around the capital. The Ljubljansko Barje was the basin of a large lake until it was drained 6000 years ago, leaving an incredible variety of landscapes, so much so that today it hosts some of the rarest forms of birds, plants, and insects in Europe. Along the route, you can take a short walk in the picturesque Iŝki Vintgar Nature Reserve, deeply carved into a splendid Dolomitic limestone plateau, and visit the remains of the world's highest railway viaduct in Borovnica. In the hot summer months, you can cool off in a typical karst lake in Podpec. Just before arriving in Vrhnika, you can visit the Technical Museum of the Republic of Slovenia, housed in the Bistra Castle, where you will find a large hunting collection and an interesting exhibit of President Tito's cars.

Day 3: Vrhnika – Postojna (43 km; +760/-510 m)
Today's stage is a bit challenging and takes place among small hills along secondary roads, forest roads, and a typical karst field. You will cycle away from the usual tourist routes and off the beaten paths. We recommend a short detour to the impenetrable fortress of Predjama Castle, nestled in a narrow crevice 123 meters high on the cliff face. Here lived a lively and daring knight: Erasmus, son of the imperial governor of Trieste, Nikolaj Lueger. After several battles, he managed to establish himself in the Predjama fortress from where he used to mock his opponents by throwing them fresh fruit, which he collected from the nearby village of Vipava and reached using a tunnel known only to him. The knight, however, died prematurely in unpoetic circumstances as he was betrayed by a companion and killed.

Day 4: Postojna – Štanjel (32 km; +240/-630 m)
So far, nearly 30 million tourists have visited the fascinating underground caves of Postojna, carved deep into the heart of these hills. The entire complex is the largest in Slovenia and covers a total of 21 km. In an hour and a half tour, you will visit this fairy-tale world made of large stalactites and stalagmites, not forgetting the unique Olm, a mysterious creature that lives in the dark pools inside the caves. The bike stage mainly takes place among the hills of the area. In the afternoon, you will head towards one of the first vineyards in the Vipava region.

Day 5: Štanjel – Lipica – Divača (50 km; +630/-360 m)
Today's stage takes place on hilly terrain with flat sections. The first stop is at the interesting botanical garden of Sežana, then at the Lipica stud farm, where you can see the beautiful Lipizzaner purebred horses, whose white coats and graceful way of dancing have made them famous worldwide. The history of Lipizzaner horses is closely linked to the Vienna Riding School. You can take a ride in a traditional carriage, watch their performances, and see them up close in their stables. This will certainly be a day to remember. If you have time for a detour, you can also visit the unusual but very interesting War Museum located in the tower of the village of Lokev.

Day 6: Divača – Muggia (39 km; +350/-780 m)
Today's stage will start on undulating terrain, followed by a long descent. If you did not manage to visit the Postojna caves, you can visit in the morning the Skocjan caves, less frequented than the karst caves, but equally interesting, also listed as a UNESCO natural heritage site since 1986. A small detour will take you to the Italian city of Trieste, once an important port, characterized by cosmopolitan charm and an enchanting atmosphere. During the Austrian rule, Trieste was part of Slovenia. You can visit the castle, the cathedral, and Piazza Unità in the center. You will relax with a cappuccino in one of the old and charming cafes. The stage ends in Muggia, south of the capital, where you can enjoy a great ice cream or relax on one of the many beaches.

Day 7: Muggia – Piran (35 or 46 km; +230/-240 m)
The last bike stage will take you along the coast, on new bike paths that follow the old railway. You will enjoy superb views of the Slovenian coast and the Gulf of Trieste. Do not miss a pleasant stop in fashionable Portorož before reaching Piran, a small port village with wonderful architecture.

Day 8: Piran
After breakfast, end of services and individual departure.
