Description

Day 1: Milazzo
The crew of our caique awaits us at 6:00 PM for boarding at the Marina di Nettuno: with all the warmth of the South, they will welcome us with a refreshing aperitif. But what beauties await us in the coming days? Don’t worry, the tour guide is ready to illustrate the tour in detail and answer any questions. Overnight stay in the port of Milazzo.

Day 2: Milazzo (15 km by bike)
No more untouched corners of paradise? Judge for yourself! This morning, a short bike ride will lead us to Capo Milazzo and its extreme tip stretching into the Tyrrhenian Sea: the Venus Pool. Here, the cliff forms a natural lagoon where sea water freely enters and creates a pleasant lapping sound. To get there, a simple walk through the greenery of olive trees and the blue of the sea will offer a wonderful view of the Tyrrhenian coast and the Aeolian Islands, our next destination. Back in Milazzo, we’ll have the opportunity to visit the castle and the old village. Dinner and overnight on board in the port of Milazzo.

Day 3: Milazzo – Vulcano Island (20 km by bike)
Today we move to the Aeolian Islands, one of the 60 Italian UNESCO heritage sites. In this leg, we’ll explore Vulcano, a sulfurous island where, according to Greek mythology, Hephaestus’s workshops were located, the god of fire and blacksmithing. Just look at the fumaroles to see that the “workshop” is still open today, although the last eruption was in the late nineteenth century. In the afternoon, free time: those who love active holidays, don’t miss the climb to the crater (400 m above sea level)! The effort will be rewarded by a splendid view. Back at the port, you can relax in the Vulcano Mud Baths, a natural lagoon known for its therapeutic properties. Dinner and overnight on board in the port of Vulcano.

Day 4: Vulcano Island – Panarea Island – Stromboli Island (3.5 hours on foot)
The cruise among the Aeolian Islands continues. As we sail to Panarea, the blue sea and sparkling, foamy waves enchant us from the boat. So let’s heed its call with a nice dive among the islets of Lisca Bianca, Bottara, and Dattilo! The small Panarea awaits us to offer one of its bays as a splendid lunch spot. But we don’t linger too long: back on our caique, we’ll enjoy the show offered by the spectacular Sciara del Fuoco, the slope formed by lava and lapilli descending from Stromboli to the sea. Up close, it is even more dramatic, and we can see for ourselves with a hike on Stromboli’s slopes (440 m): the volcanic explosions at sunset are worth the climb. We conclude the walk with a scenic evening picnic. Return on board and overnight at anchor in Stromboli.

Day 5: Stromboli Island – Panarea Island – Salina Island (2.5 hours on foot)
We haven’t forgotten about Panarea! Today we will have all the time to visit this island, the smallest and oldest of all the Aeolians. On board our caique, we reach Porto San Pietro, its vibrant heart: a nice walk from the port takes us to the center, characterized by typical white houses clinging to the gently terraced slopes. We continue the walk to enjoy its famous beaches: Drautto and Cala Junco. Picnic break on the beach. We return on board to continue our cruise to another beautiful island: Salina, which will host us for the night. Among the narrow streets of the center, you can find many shops and typical restaurants.

Day 6: Salina Island – Lipari Island (20 km by bike)
Did you know that Salina is considered the greenest island in the Aeolians? It hosts a Nature Reserve over more than half its territory: let’s discover it together by crossing the island from Santa Marina on the east coast to Pollara. Does this small village on the volcanic crater sound familiar? Of course, the movie The Postman with Massimo Troisi was filmed here. Along the way, we’ll have splendid views: a mandatory photo from the Lingua salt lake, from where the island of Lipari can be clearly seen, which we will reach with a short navigation. Dinner and overnight on board in the port of Lipari.

Day 7: Lipari Island – Milazzo (25 km by bike)

Last day by bike: a circular route allows us to slowly explore the coasts of Lipari Island, which alternates between beaches, large bays, and cliffs. Therefore, a stop at the beaches of Canneto and Acquacalda for a nice swim in crystal-clear waters is essential, as is the picnic stop at Quattrocchi viewpoint, named because two eyes will not be enough to see this wonderful panorama of the sea stacks! The starting and ending point will be the lively town of Lipari, where you can buy the last souvenirs among the alleys winding between Corso and Via Garibaldi. Return to port in Milazzo for overnight and free dinner in the center.

Day 8: Milazzo
Breakfast, disembarkation by 9:00 AM, end of services.
