Description

Day 1: Amsterdam
Individual arrival in Amsterdam and boarding from 2:00 PM onwards. Free time to visit the city, one of its many beautiful museums or go shopping. At 5:30 PM, a welcome briefing will take place with the presentation of the tour through the Green Heart of Holland. The rented bicycles will be delivered afterwards. Dinner and overnight stay on board.

Day 2: Amsterdam – Zaandam | Zaandam – Zaanse Schans – Haarlem (40 or 55 km)
After a short navigation to Zaandam, your first bike stage through the Green Heart of Holland starts with a visit to the open-air museum of Zaanse Schans, introducing you to an authentic Dutch village from the 17th to 19th century. Lose yourself among the wooden houses and magnificent windmills! From here, you'll continue to pedal through the lush countryside of the Green Heart until you reach Haarlem. In the evening, take a leisurely stroll on the Grote Markt (market square). If you prefer, extend your bike stage to the Ijmuiden dam and the Kennemer Dunes today, with the possibility of visiting some forts of the Amsterdam Defense Line (a UNESCO site). Dinner and overnight stay on board.

Day 3: Haarlem – North sea coast – Leiden (42 or 50 km)
Today you'll have a fantastic bike ride along the North sea coast, among white dunes and endless sandy beaches; you'll pass through Noordwijk and Katwijk and reach the vibrant university city of Leiden, the western limit of the Green Heart, where the famous painter Rembrandt was born. This picturesque city will welcome you with its buzzing historical center and the geometric intersection of canals along which beautiful buildings and palaces were built in the 1600s. The longer version of the stage will take you to Leiden through Cruquius and Hillegonm.
Dinner and overnight stay on board.

Day 4: Leiden – Delft (35 or 41 km)
The final destination today is the city of Delft, famous for its blue porcelain (Delftware). Here, you'll have the opportunity to visit an artisan workshop where it's produced. Delft is also home to the crypt of the Orange, the royal house of Holland. The longer version of the bike stage passes through the tourist resort of Scheveningen and The Hague, where you can visit the Parliament and the Peace Palace, before continuing to Delft. Dinner and overnight stay on board.

Day 5: Delft – Rotterdam – Kinderdijk by boat | Kinderdijk – Schoonhoven – Gouda (between 23 and 66 km)
Today you will cross the southern part of the Green Heart of Holland: you will sail to the international port of Rotterdam, from where you can start pedaling, or decide to board a waterbus, a high-speed ferry that in 30/40 minutes will take you and your bike to Alblasserdam. From here, only a few kilometers separate you from the Kinderdijk Windmill Park, a UNESCO site famous for its 19 windmills dating back to the 18th century and perfectly preserved (some are still working and can be visited inside). After visiting Kinderdijk, continue by bike directly to the ancient city of Gouda, famous for its cheese and also for the market square. If you wish, you can extend the stage by passing through Schoonhoven. Dinner and overnight stay on board.

Day 6: Gouda – Kudelstaart (45 or 55 km)
Today you can pedal enjoying the idyllic and green landscape of South Holland. The final destination is Kudelstaart, where your boat will be waiting for you. Along the route, follow small canals and encounter farms and villages. It will be like pedaling inside a postcard. Dinner and overnight stay on board.

Day 7: Kudelstaart – Amsterdam (30 or 37 km)
The end of the journey approaches: we return to the northern part of the Green Heart of Holland and towards Amsterdam. If you manage to get up early, today you can visit the Aalsmeer flower auction (entrance not included), the largest in the world of its kind, a unique opportunity to see so many flowers and plants all together. After a late breakfast, you can choose to stay on board your boat for the navigation stretch to the Amsterdam pier, or reach the capital by bike, pedaling along the Amstel river or through the Amsterdam Bos park. In the afternoon, you'll have the chance to enjoy a few more hours in the city. Take this opportunity to visit one of the beautiful museums of the capital, to take a tour of the canals, or simply to immerse yourself in the relaxed and cosmopolitan atmosphere of the city.
Dinner and overnight stay on board.

Day 8: Amsterdam
After breakfast, end of services. Disembarkation by 9:30 AM.
