Description

Day 1: Salzburg
Individual arrival in Salzburg and free time to visit the city where Mozart was born. The city, in addition to the beautiful lakes, also has a rich cultural and musical tradition and hosts one of Europe's most famous music festivals every year. If you are here during the festival, don’t miss the chance to attend an evening concert in Hohensalzburg Fortress. The Fortress is one of the main attractions of the city, a huge castle complete with cannons and underground prisons. Salzburg's old town preserves ancient Baroque buildings and has been designated a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.

Day 2: Salzburg – Wolfgangsee Lake (50 km)
Departure by bicycle from the city of Mozart towards Eugendorf and Thalgau, crossing the Flachgau, Salzburg plain. Shortly after Thalgau, you'll encounter Mondsee Lake, the first of the Salzburg Lakes you meet. Once you reach the top of Scharfling, a magnificent view of Wolfgangsee Lake will open before you. A quick bike ride will take you to St. Gilgen, known as Mozart's village. The day ends with a pleasant boat ride on Wolfgangsee Lake.

Day 3: Wolfgangsee Lake – Traunsee Lake (50 km)
After a final walk in St. Wolfgang, you resume the bike tour towards Bad Ischl. The town was chosen as Emperor Franz Joseph's summer residence and has a lively cultural life and many culinary specialties to discover. Finally, following the Traun river, you reach Altmünster, passing through Ebensee.

Day 4: Traunsee Lake – Attersee Lake (35 km)
Similar to a fjord, Traunsee Lake, the second largest of the Salzburg Lakes, is situated between Mount Traunstein and the Höllengebirge range. From here you cycle towards Gmunden, a town famous for its beautiful ceramics. After a walk along the charming lakeside promenade, framed by Ort Castle, you continue through the Aurachtal valley, towards Attersee Lake.

Day 5: Attersee Lake – Mondsee Lake (35 km)
Following the turquoise waters of Attersee Lake, you cycle towards Unterach and after about 2 km you reach the beautiful Mondsee Lake, one of the most popular among the Salzburg Lakes. Cycling along the northern shore you arrive at the picturesque village of Mondsee. Here you will find an interesting museum on Prehistory, with many local historical artifacts.

Day 6: Mondsee Lake – Salzburg Lake District (45 km)
Today you will cycle through the enchanting landscapes surrounding Mondsee, and beyond Irrsee Lake, until you reach Salzburg Lake District. If you're a beer lover, we also recommend a stop at the Trumer brewery.

Day 7: Salzburg Lake District – Salzburg (45 km)
The surroundings of Lake Trumer offer a great variety of places and landscapes to admire, and it's also possible to stop for a swim, before doing a final bike ride towards Salzburg, with a fantastic view of the Salzkammergut mountains.

Day 8: Salzburg
After breakfast, end of services and individual departure.
