Description

Day 1: Salzburg
Arrive individually in Salzburg, check in and collect your travel documents related to the tour. We suggest you spend some time strolling through the streets of Salzburg and attending an evening concert at the Hohensalzburg Fortress.

Day 2: Salzburg – Lake Wolfgangsee (50 km)
Pick up the bikes (if rented) at the Amedia Hotel. Leaving the city, start cycling along the beautiful Salzkammergut Bike Path, passing through the towns of Eugendorf and Thalgau, and skirting the impressive Drachenwand (Dragon Wall) before reaching the picturesque Lake Mondsee. From Scharfling, enjoy a wonderful view of Lake Wolfgangsee, and quickly reach the delightful St. Gilgen, also known as Mozart's Village. A boat tour included in the program on this day or the next, depending on the hotel you have chosen to stay in.

Day 3: Lake Wolfgangsee – Lake Traunsee (40 km)
Continuing to cycle on the imperial route of the Salzkammergut Bike Path, you will reach Bad Ischl, a thermal town known for its great cultural liveliness, culinary specialties, and for being the summer residence of Emperor Franz Joseph, who built the Kaiservilla here, as well as several artists. Proceeding then, along the Traun river, and passing through Ebensee, you will finally reach Traunkirchen.

Day 4: Lake Traunsee – Lake Attersee (40 km)
Resembling a fjord, Lake Traunsee, also situated on the Salzkammergut Bike Path, is nestled between the mountain ranges of Traunstein and Höllengebirge. From here, continue towards Gmunden, famous for its ceramics and Ort Castle, part of the Small Historic Cities of Austria. We suggest taking a walk along the beautiful lake promenade before continuing towards the Aurachtal valley, heading towards Attersee.

Day 5: Lake Attersee – Lake Mondsee (35 km)
Today's route on the Salzkammergut Bike Path runs along the shores of the turquoise Attersee, the largest in the region, towards Unterach, reaching, after a couple of kilometers, Lake Mondsee. Cycling along the north shore to the village of Mondsee, you can visit some prehistoric stilt houses situated along the bike path and taste some local specialties.

Day 6: Lake Mondsee – Salzburg Lake District (45 km)
Today you will cycle through the enchanting landscapes that surround Mondsee, and beyond Lake Irrsee, until you reach the Salzburg Lake District. If you are a beer lover, we also recommend a stop at the Trumer brewery.

Day 7: Salzburg Lake District – Salzburg (45 km)
Cycling along the shores of Salzburg's Lakes, many enchanting spots will invite you to stop and take a refreshing swim. Before returning to the city, enjoy the magnificent view of the Salzkammergut mountains one last time.

Day 8: Salzburg
After breakfast, the end of services. Individual departure or possibility to extend the stay.
