The islands of the Gulf of Kvarner by MTB and boat

Day 1: Omišalj – Cres
Individual arrival in Omišalj, a small but delightful port on the island of Krk. Boarding is possible from 14.00 until 14.30; around 15.00 we depart by boat for the island of Cres where we will arrive after about 4 hours of sailing. After dinner, a short walking tour of the city of Cres.

Day 2: Cres and Lošinj Islands (32 km / +550 m)
After breakfast, your tour starts from the city of Cherso and takes us to the small port of Martinšćica. After a nice climb on asphalted roads, the joy of off-roading can begin with incredible views of the Valun bay. After a nice break in the village of Podol, you will continue through routes immersed in nature and goat tracks beyond the Vraner lake to your boat in Martinšćica. Enjoy the cruise from here to Lussinpiccolo. The harbor with its colorful facades and numerous cafes offers its visitors a cozy atmosphere for a relaxing evening.

Day 3: Lošinj and Molat Islands (24+15 km / +350 and +200 m)
Following the beach, we'll cycle south of Losinj and visit the characteristic port of Veli Losinj where our boat awaits for lunch. In the afternoon we continue to the island of Molat where a short bike ride is scheduled. Overnight in the quiet and picturesque port of Molat.

Day 4: Dugi Otok and Olib Islands (37 km / +600 m)
During breakfast we will sail through many small islands to Dugi Otok, “the spice island”. The bike tour will start in Božava bay, surrounded by pines, agaves and tamarisks, following practically traffic-free roads. Our tour will first take us to the northernmost point on the island where the Veli Rat lighthouse has stood since 1849 to guide sailors. Following the “Road in the sky” we will then reach the picturesque port of Savar or Bribinj. In the afternoon free time for a pleasant swim and departure for the island of Olib where we will overnight.

Day 5: Pag Island – Rab (34 km / +450 m)
In the morning we will reach by boat the Pag Island. The landscape of this island is rugged but pleasant and we'll find ourselves cycling again through olive groves and expanses of figs. In past centuries residents built numerous stone walls to protect themselves from the wind, still visible today. Starting from Mandre, we cycle along the narrow peninsula to the sea where our boat awaits to proceed to the island of Rab, one of the sunniest locations in Europe; its capital, Rab, is one of the pearls of the tour with its four bell towers. The fortified city was built in the Middle Ages on a promontory: after dinner, you can venture into its alleys and enjoy a drink in one of its intimate cafes.

Day 6: Rab Island (25 km / +550 m)
Today we will cycle along the eastern side of the island, an area lacking vegetation, whose harsh and rough rocks resemble a lunar landscape. The trail will take us to a bay with a sandy beach, a somewhat atypical element for the Kvarner islands. The boat will await us for lunch in the harbor right in front of the city of Rab. Free time for a swim, then we will continue to sail to the nearby Krk island, where we will spend the night.

Day 7: Krk Island (45 km / +700 m)
Cycling on the ridge of the island covered by aromatic Mediterranean vegetation will take us to a valley of vineyards and then to the small museum city of Vrbnik in the northeast. The city, built on a 50 m high cliff and surrounded by vineyards, is the place of origin of the famous Žlahtina white wine and it hosts the second narrowest alley in the world. We continue pedaling through old villages and rich vegetation to Omišalj from where we have a great view of Rijeka. Time for a swim in the Soline Bay.

Day 8: Omišalj
After breakfast, end of services and check out by 09.00.
