The Drava Bicycle Path Family Group

Day 1: Arrival in Lienz
Individual arrival at the hotel in sunny Lienz. Check-in at the hotel and time for a walk around the lively town.

Day 2: Transfer from Lienz to Dobbiaco + bike return (50 – 55 km )
After breakfast and meeting with the guide, we will go to Dobbiaco, where we can pick up the bikes. From Dobbiaco, we will pedal on the Drau Cycle Path towards the charming San Candido. Having overcome Sillian, we will continue towards the Austrian border, near Prato Drava, where the descent begins, leading us gently to Lienz, where the Isel and Drava rivers meet. Along the way, we'll take some pleasant breaks suitable for the whole family. We can savor all the delicacies of the Loacker Goodness World in Heinfels, and also not far from Lienz, where there is a playground with a water maze and the Osttirodler, a summer sled track open until 17:00.

Day 3: Lienz/surroundings – Berg im Drautal (35 km)
As soon as we leave sunny Lienz, the sunniest city on the Drau Cycle Path, we will continue along what was once a Roman trade route to Oberdrauburg, a town rich in museums and mills, where grain is still processed. Riding our bikes, we will go to Berg im Drautal, today's final destination. Along the route, there will be attractions for children and families. Once in Berg, in the beautiful area of the High Tauern, for those who wish, it is possible to discover the first Sensopark in Europe, with five sense-meditative trails dedicated to water, woods and mountains.

Day 4: Berg im Drautal – Spittal a.d. Drau/surroundings (45 km)
By biking through idyllic landscapes and fairy-tale villages, we will arrive at Spittal a.d. Drau. We can take an excursion on what is called the Culture Walk, which takes us from Upper Carinthia to Spittal an der Drau, home to Porcia Castle with its folk culture museum (there are also theater performances in July and August).

Day 5: Spittal a.d. Drau/surroundings – Villach (40 km)
Continuing on the Drau Cycle Path towards Villach, the second largest city in Carinthia, we can make some interesting stops at the Mycological Museum, the world of Elli Riehl's puppets, archaeological digs, or swim in Lake Ossiach or Lake Faaker See. At the end of the stage, Villach, an energetic town with a Mediterranean touch, awaits us. The center, teeming with boutiques, cafes, restaurants and shops, is full of Italian influences, and in summer, becomes a stage for many events. If there is time, don't miss: a visit to Landskron Castle, the famous Adler Arena (bird of prey flying shows), and the Affenburg, a mountain where 145 Japanese macaques live freely.

Day 6: Villach – circular tour Lake Ossiach – Villach (45 km)
We will follow the Seebach river, up until we leave Villach. Continuing by bike, we can admire the ruins of Landskron Castle, which dominates the valley. After a few kilometers, we will arrive at Lake Ossiach with its picturesque villages nestled on the shore amidst an idyllic landscape surrounded by majestic mountains. The temptation to take a rejuvenating dive in this enchanting lake will be irresistible and the perfect end to the family vacation, after which we’ll return to Villach.

Day 7: Villach
After breakfast, individual departures and end of services, with the possibility to extend your stay.
