The Loire by Bike with children from Tours to Chinon

Day 1: Arrival in Tours
Take the chance to visit the city of Tours, we recommend exploring the old part whose beating heart is the Place Plumereau, a lively square framed by characteristic half-timbered houses and animated by the terraces of the cafes and restaurants that overlook it.

Day 2: Tours – Villandry (21 km)
Cycling on the bike paths of La Loire à vélo you will reach the Castle of Villandry, famous for its famous French Renaissance gardens where flowers, fruit trees, vegetables, and aromatic herbs mix. Don't miss the Garden of Love that tells through colors tender love, passionate love, fickle love, and tragic love, the Physical Garden, and the Music Garden.

Day 3: Villandry – Azay le Rideau (24 km)
Today's itinerary will first take you to the Château de Saché where you can immerse yourself among the lilies and peonies of the gardens that inspired Honoré de Balzac in writing the novel The Lily in the Valley. It then continues towards Azay le Rideau which will win you over with its wonderful Renaissance castle nestled in the greenery and the waters of the Indre.

Day 4: Azay le Rideau – Rigny Ussé (18 km)
Once you get in the saddle, head towards the sixteenth-century Langeais castle, typical medieval fortress inside which you can admire wonderful tapestries and antique furniture. It then continues towards the Ussé Castle which inspired Perrault for his famous fairy tale of Sleeping Beauty in the Wood.

Day 5: Rigny Ussé – Chinon (18 km)
Cycling through the forest you reach the medieval town of Chinon, immersed in the vineyards where, if you wish, you will have the opportunity to visit one of the many cellars that rise along the banks of the Vienne river, famous for the elegant red wine produced there.
