From Passau to Linz by Bike Family Special

Day 1: Passau
Individual arrival in Passau and accommodation in the hotel. Bicycle pick-up for rental and the information package about the tour. Start your trip on the Danube from Passau to Linz enjoying a walk in the beautiful city of Passau with your children, who will be enchanted by the ships moored at the dock.

Day 2: Passau – Niederranna (16 km)
After breakfast, the boat will take you from Passau to Kasten, where your bike tour from Passau to Linz begins. After a few kilometers, you will spot the statue of the little mermaid Isa on the river bank, inviting you to visit the Haus am Strom in Engelhartszell, a museum about the local marine nature designed for children. Overnight stay in Wesenufer.

Day 3: Wesenufer – Obermühl (20 km)
On this day, cycling along the bike path, you will reach one of the most well-known destinations: Schaunberg castle. At this point, the river forms a fascinating double loop, before it continues to flow towards the east, the result is so spectacular that in the past it was believed to have been designed by dark forces. We recommend a walk to the viewpoint, from which there is a splendid view of the surrounding hills. Overnight stay in Obermuhl.

Day 4: Obermühl – Aschach (22 km)
In this stage, you will leave behind the Upper Danube Valley and the wooded hills, to enter the fertile region of the Eferdinger Becken. Here you cycle between gentle hills and small villages. During one of your stops, we recommend you taste the delicious asparagus-based specialities. The children also can't wait to visit the ruins of Schaunberg castle, to relive the times of the knights. Overnight stay in Aschach.

Day 5: Aschach – Linz (20 km)
In this last stage of your trip from Passau to Linz, you will cycle leisurely along the south bank of the Danube, up to Ottensheim's power station, where you'll cross to the other bank. The last 10 kilometres to reach Linz will be covered by train. Here, many activities await you. First of all, don't miss the exciting trip onboard the Pöstlingberg, which will be enjoyed by both young and old; onboard this historic tram, you will reach the Basilica, the panoramic terrace and the caves among other things. Children will be welcomed by the little dragon Sebastian, who will accompany them to his fantastic world, while the tram will travel through the magical world of the gnomes, located in a tower of the old fortress for over a century. Halfway between Linz and the mountain, there is also the zoo, which houses 130 different animals where some puppies can be petted. Overnight stay in Linz. 

Day 6: Linz
After breakfast, return by train to Passau and end of services.
