Description

Day 1: Bressanone
Individual arrival at the hotel in Bressanone.

Day 2: Bressanone – Dobbiaco – Bressanone (65 km)
In the morning, transfer to Dobbiaco where the bicycles will be delivered (if rented). Then the first stage on two wheels begins, which will take you along the Val Pusteria bike path following the Rienza river: starting from the heart of the Dolomites, Dobbiaco, you will cross the Braies Valley that extends south to reach Brunico. Continue on the cycle path along the river through the ruins of the Rio Di Pusteria dam, a border between the Val Pusteria and the Val d'Isarco; not far from Bressanone, you can visit the Novacella monastery complex. In Bressanone, do not miss a visit to the historic center with its typical arcades and the Cathedral Square.

Day 3: Bressanone – Bolzano (40 km)
Today, the Val d'Isarco bike path will take you to Bolzano. Leaving the episcopal city of Bressanone, you will pedal through the renowned vineyards that produce an excellent white wine; shortly, you will reach Chiusa, a picturesque city whose hidden alleyways invite you for a first stop. At the end of the stage, Bolzano will be waiting for you; the city offers many ways to end this day: a walk under the famous arcades or along the river, a visit to the archaeological museum to meet Ötzi, the ice man, or simply a cappuccino in Piazza Walther.

Day 4: Bolzano – Merano – Bolzano (45 km)
In the morning from Bolzano, you will reach by train Merano, a spa town also known as "the small Vienna," a stylish and lively city. Take a walk in this town with a Mediterranean flavor or among the gardens of Trauttmansdorff Castle, Empress Sissi's residence in Merano, before starting to pedal along the wine road back to Bolzano where you can spend the rest of the afternoon.

Day 5: Bolzano – Trento (65 km)
Leaving Bolzano, you can choose between two alternatives to reach Salorno: one will take you along the old railway to Oltradige-Bassa Atesina, continuing to Caldaro and up to Salorno; the other one along the cycle path through the Adige Valley. At Salorno's dam, you will leave South Tyrol and start pedaling towards Trento through the thriving wine area of Trentino.

Day 6: Trento – Riva del Garda/Torbole (50 km)
Having passed the old frontier city of Rovereto, this morning you will bid farewell to the Adige Valley crossing Passo S.Giovanni (287 m) until you reach the largest lake in Italy, Lake Garda, where you will feel like you are suspended between land and sea!

Day 7: Riva del Garda
After breakfast, the services end.
