Description

Day 1: Bad Tölz
Individual arrival in Bad Tölz.

Day 2: Bad Tölz – Maurach/Jenbach (Approximately 70 km)
Today you will follow the flow of the Isar River to Lake Sylverstein. After crossing the Karwendel natural park, you will cross the border between Germany and Austria, reaching the tourist region of Achensee, with its mountain lake. There is the possibility of taking a boat trip before continuing along the Inn Valley and covering the final stretch to reach Maurach/Jenbach.

Day 3: Maurach/Jenbach – Mühlbach/Rio Pusteria (Approximately 95 km + train or bus)
From Jenbach you will continue on the cycle route along the Inn River to Innsbruck, the capital of Tyrol. Enjoy a walk in the historic center, visit the famous Golden Roof or Bergisel, the Olympic ski jumping hill on Mount Isel, which is a real architectural attraction. The challenging stretch of this stage, between Innsbruck and Brenner, the border between Austria and Italy, is covered by a train or bus transfer. Only a few buildings remind of the former border. From Brenner you will cycle along the old railway trunk, passing through Sterzing and Fortezza to reach Rio Pusteria.

Day 4: Mühlbach/Rio Pusteria – Villabassa/Dobbiaco (Approximately 50 – 55 km)
Cycling along the Rienza River through the Puster Valley, on a well-maintained cycle path, you will reach Brunico: take a walk in the central street of the old town with its shops full of typical products. We also recommend a visit to the provincial museum of customs and traditions in Teodone, an open-air ethnographic museum that illustrates the life of the rural society of the past from nobility to farm laborers. Leaving Brunico, continue on the cycle path along the Rienza River to reach Villabassa/Dobbiaco.

Day 5: Villabassa/Dobbiaco – Pieve di Cadore (Approximately 60 – 65 km)

Today you start in the direction of Val di Landro, cycling on the bike path that follows the track of the old railway; the stage will take you to Lake Dobbiaco and then to Lake Landro, not before enjoying a breathtaking view of the Three Peaks. With an extraordinary route, following the illuminated tunnels, you reach the lively and renowned Cortina D'Ampezzo, the Pearl of the Dolomites. Continuing in a slight descent, with on the right the view on Mount Pelmo and on the left that on Sorapis and then Antelao, crossing the Boite Valley you will arrive to the birthplace of Titian, Pieve di Cadore.

Day 6: Pieve di Cadore – Conegliano (Approximately 80 km)
On the new bike path you will reach Longarone, a town completely rebuilt after the tragedy of 1963, when a landslide detached from Mount Toc and fell into the artificial basin of the Vajont dam, causing a wave that exceeded the dam and overwhelmed the village below. From Longarone you will continue by bike to Conegliano, the final stop of the day.

Day 7: Conegliano – Venice/Mestre (Approximately 94 km)

Leaving the Alps behind, you will continue through the plain in the direction of Treviso and its canals. You can admire the magnificent villas of the architect Palladio who, especially in this area close to the influence of the naval power of Venice, realized many of his masterpieces. Continuing towards the sea, you will cycle on the bike path that runs alongside the Sile River to Venice/Mestre. From here you can discover the sumptuous Serenissima.

Day 8: Venice/Mestre
After breakfast, end of services.
