Active Holiday at Wolfgangsee Lake Deluxe

Route 1 – Circular tour around Lake Wolfgangsee (23 km)
You can cycle along the shores of the lake to St. Gilgen, the birthplace of Mozart's mother and sister, then take the ferry to Ried (bike transport included), a small fraction of St. Wolfgang. At St.Wolfgang we suggest you to take a walk through the village and visit the famous Pilgrim's Church inside which the Altar of Michael Pacher is preserved. You can then continue biking along the shores of the lake and return to Strobl or, alternatively, come back by boat.

Route 2 – Bike tour to Bad Ischl (28 km) 
The route leads from the hotel to the imperial city of Bad Ischl. Once there you can take a walk in the historic center, get on board the tourist train, or a horse carriage for a tour of the main monuments such as the Imperial Villa, the Kurpark, the Trinkhalle, the Pfarrgasse and the Café Zauner, just to name a few.
You then return to Strobl via Pfandl and Windhag.

Route 3 – Bike tour to Lake Hallstatt (58 km)
From the hotel, head towards Bad Ischl and continue along the Traun river passing through Lauffen to Bad Goisern. Past Bad Goisern, you reach Au, a fraction of Steeg, from where you start following the cycle path on the east bank of the enchanting Lake Hallstatt to the Hallstatt station. Here you can leave your bikes and take a ferry to reach the other side of the lake and the Unesco World Heritage village of Hallstatt. After visiting the village, you can take the ferry back and retrieve the bikes from the station. We recommend you then take the train to Bad Ischl and from there a bus, or ride back to Strobl.

Route 4 – Bike tour to Lake Mondsee (63 km)
The route will lead you to St. Gilgen and then continue to Mount Scharfling (steep but short climb) and the Lake Krottensee until reaching the Lake Mondsee. At this point, you can take a tour around the lake and visit the beautiful village of Mondsee with the famous basilica where some scenes of the film The Sound of Music were shot.
Variant for Lake Attersee (+ 7 km)
Once you reach the Au fraction, on the eastern edge of Lake Mondsee, you will be only 3.5 km from the Lake Attersee. From here, you can pedal to the village of Unterach and retrace the same path (3.5 km) back towards Lake Mondsee and then continue around the lake. You then pass by Scharfling and continue to St. Gilgen and Strobl back to your hotel.
In both lakes, you can decide to take a swim or a boat tour. 

Route 5 – Bike tour to Lake Traunsee + boat and train (approx. 66 km)
Ride from Strobl to Bad Ischl, which you cross along the bike path along the Traun river, to Ebensee, on the Lake Traunsee. Here you board for the Gasthof Hoisn and continue by bike through Gmunden, Altmünster and Traunkirchen and return to Ebensee, from where you take the train to return to Bad Ischl and then continue by bus or bike to the hotel.

Route 6 – Suggested program: Visit of Salzburg (day without bike)
Reach Salzburg by bus (about 1 hour) or with your own car. The main attractions of the city are: the Getreidegasse, the heart of the historic center, the Cathedral and the sumptuous Residenzplatz, the Modern Art Museum located on Mönchsberg, the Mirabell Gardens, the Natural Science Museum, Mozart's birthplace, Hohensalzburg Fortress, symbol of the city and countless other easily accessible on foot places.
