The Emilian territory is a paradise for gourmet travelers and also has a guide of excellence: Davide, a gastronomic cyclist who accompanies cyclists to discover nature and the typical Emilian flavors with the Bike Food Stories project.

Parma is located in the heart of the Food Valley and has been recognized "city of gastronomy" by UNESCO, which is why it is the ideal place to dedicate to pleasant couple weekends, dedicated to the most authentic flavors. Davide's routes are not only developed in the city but are extended throughout the province to discover places of production, workshops and to get to know the taste craftsmen. An immersive experience to be lived on two wheels and pedaling, just like a real Emilian would!

Parma by bike with Bike Food Stories

Bike Food Stories was born from the union of two great passions: cycling and gastronomy. The type of perfect experience for those who love slow travel that finds the right dimensions in a territory like that of Parma.

After about a year of activity on my bike, I have accompanied more than 790 people from 30 different countries, for a total of 25,365 km traveled.

The Emilian land is rich in excellence, people are willing to open the doors to show you what they produce, in addition, the territory is flat and therefore easy to traverse. In general there is a great bike culture with low traffic roads: it is a region that lends itself very well to cycle tourism, the territory is practically perfect for this activity.

During bike tours discovering Parma, one of the things that is most appreciated is the beauty of the Emilian countryside. The rural landscape with the old abandoned farms always arouses great charm, but many also wonder why such beautiful houses have been abandoned. Another great attraction is the typical products of the area, including Parmigiano Reggiano, Prosciutto di Parma, Culatello di Zibello, but also the wines and tomatoes that have been grown in these territories for centuries.

The routes that Davide proposes are 1 day long and are developed within the province of Parma by bike, giving great space of course to food, with tastings and visits to production sites, but also to nature and typical Emilian landscapes, not only flat but also hilly. 

The tour is accessible to everyone, even beginners and for those who wish to go on a couple's excursion. 

The area of Parma is flat or slightly sloping and usually, excessive distances are never covered during the journey.
