Weekend in Abruzzo on the Trabocchi Coast with guide

1st Day: Arrival at Francavilla al Mare
Arrival at Francavilla al Mare at the hotel that will host us, from 3:00 pm. Meeting with the guide, briefing and bicycle test. Opportunity to practice various water sports, shopping in typical shops, or visit the Michetti Convent and Michetti Museum, in the old part of the village. In the immediate vicinity, possibility of visits to the provincial capitals of Chieti and Pescara or visit (with private transfer) to the historic village of Pretoro (one of the Most Beautiful Villages in Italy). For those who wish, free ride to know the Art Nouveau villas, the Ex Aurum, the Dannunziana pinewood of Pescara and the birthplace of Gabriele D'Annunzio. Typical Francavilla dinner and overnight.

2nd Day: Francavilla al Mare - Fossacesia (35 km; +/-558 m)
Departure for the first stage by bike heading south. We will cross the vast territory of the province of Chieti, along the coast, with a visit to Ortona with the Aragonese castle. We will return to the sea from the Acquabella reserve and we could also visit the Canadian cemetery, built on the Gustav line during the Great War. The maze of tunnels begins to peek out here and we arrive at San Vito Chietino, the gateway to the Trabocchi Coast. From here we start to see these old fishing huts that look like huge spiders suspended over the sea. We will continue to admire the sea and the surrounding hills to venture along the Teatina coast up to Fossacesia. The evening reserves us a dinner on the Trabocco, a real culinary experience. Overnight in Fossacesia.

3rd Day: Fossacesia - Vasto/San Salvo (39 km; +/-340 m)
We are on the Trabocchi Coast and after the evening dinner that allowed us to understand better what the Trabocchi represent for these areas, we will start this last day along the Bike To Coast of Abruzzo heading south. Now comes the most suggestive part of the entire route; we arrive in the reserves of Punta Aderci and Punta Penna, where the terrain returns to dirt, in the midst of vegetation on the sea. It seems to be on the Scottish coast, with scenarios overlooking the sea that make this last day, magical. We will pass in front of the historical Trabocchi of the coast until the Gulf of Vasto, where our tour ends overlooking first on the Ambling Lodge, from where on clear days, you can see the Tremiti. We will visit the old village with castle, churches, views and splendid palaces (D'Avalos). Return by train to Francavilla al Mare and end of services.
