Weekend by bike in Valencia with guide

Day 1: Valencia
Individual arrival and hotel accommodation. Take some time to visit Valencia, a city suspended between tradition and modernity, today it encompasses two cities within: the Gothic one of the Serranos Towers and Virgin Square and the modern one of future-oriented architectures. By the end of the day, the city of the sun, of nightlife and of paella, will pamper you with tasty culinary delicacies.

Day 2: Valencia (22.37 miles)
Starting around 10.00 am, you can collect the bicycles (if rented). The first day will enable us to discover the beauties of the city of Valencia. We will cycle among the monuments of the fascinating historic centre, until we reach the seafront and its most famous Malva-Rosa beach. Continuing to pedal, we will head towards the architectural complex of the City of Arts and Sciences, designed by Valencian architect Santiago Calatrava. We will reach this magical area through the wonderful Turia Gardens, one of the largest urban natural parks in Spain. This natural lung that divides the city into two will take you to the western outskirts, to the Spanish backcountry, where some of the natural features of the Huerta, the countryside surrounding Valencia, can be appreciated.

Day 3: Valencia – Albufera – Valencia (27.96 miles)
In this final stage of our bike weekend, we await a day outside the city immersed in nature: we will explore the Albufera Natural Park, one of the most important wetlands in Spain, where it is said that paella was invented. After crossing the historic centre and the Turia Gardens, thanks to the cycle path that runs along the beach on one side, and the rice fields on the other, we will reach the lagoon. Here we will pedal through dense maritime pine forests and along wild beaches, until we reach the small village of El Palmar, where a typical local boat awaits us, ready to take us for a panoramic tour. We will conclude the excursion in the best way by enjoying an excellent Valencian paella, right in the birthplace of this great dish. The boat trip and lunch are not included.

Day 4: Valencia
After breakfast, end of services and individual departure.
