Description

Day 1: Salzburg or Trumer Lakes
Individual arrival and hotel check-in. Tour information and delivery of bikes if rented. For those arriving at Trumer Seen lakes, the Salzkammergut bike tour begins with the route described for the third day, and the Salzburg, Trumer Seen route is recovered on the last day.

Day 2: Salzburg – Trumer Seen Lakes/Wallersee Lake (50 or 60 km)
Today you will cycle along the Salzach to Oberndorf, birthplace of the Christmas carol Silent Night, Arnsdorf and Michaelbeuern, to the Trumer lakes (Obertrumer Lake, Mattsee Lake, Grabensee Lake) and in part also along Wallersee Lake. A shorter and more direct version is possible.

Day 3: Trumer Seen Lakes/Wallersee Lake – Mondsee Lake (50 km)
On the third day, the Salzkammergut bike tour will take you through the Egelseen lakes nature reserve to Schleedorf. You will then continue to the idyllic Irrsee Lake. Overnight stay in Mondsee.

Day 4: Mondsee Lake – Traunsee Lake (50 or 80 km)
The day begins with a boat trip to Attersee. Afterward, you will cross the Aurachtal valley to Traunsee Lake, passing through Gmunden, and Orth Castle, Altmünster, with its bicycle museum, and Traunkirchen.

Day 5: Traunsee Lake – Hallstättersee Lake – Bad Goisern and Surroundings (20 or 35 km)
By train, you will travel from Traunsee Lake to Obertraun, on Hallstättersee Lake, where you can admire the Dachstein ice caves. Afterwards, you will continue along the lake to Hallstatt, defined by some as the most beautiful lake town in the world and home to the oldest salt mine in the world. Today's destination is Bad Goisern or one of the nearby towns.

Day 6: Bad Goisern – Wolfgangsee Lake (35 km)
Passing through Bad Ischl, with the majestic Imperial Villa and its Park, you will travel along the Ischler Ache River to Wolfgangsee Lake: you will cross places like St. Wolfgang (White Horse Inn, parish church, cog railway to Schafberg), Strobl, Abersee Lake (Zinkenbachklamm gorge) and St. Gilgen the village of Mozart on Wolfgangsee Lake.

Day 7: Wolfgangsee Lake – Salzburg (50 or 70 km)
On the seventh day, you will follow the bike path to St. Gilgen, skirting the deep blue Fuschlsee Lake. From there you will proceed beyond Hintersee Lake and Strubklamm gorge into the Wiestal valley. Subsequently, you will cross the Glasenbachklamm in the Salzachtal valley. Just before reaching Salzburg, it is worth visiting Hellbrunn Castle, with its zoo and water games. The final destination of the Salzkammergut bike tour is the city of Mozart, Salzburg, with its numerous attractions, including the fortress and the old town.

Day 8: Salzburg
After breakfast, end of services, and individual departure.
