Description

Day 1: Lisbon
Individual arrival in Lisbon and hotel accommodation. Take advantage of this first day to explore the vibrant Portuguese capital. Wander through the cobblestone streets, enjoy the delicious local cuisine and let yourself be enveloped by the historic and lively atmosphere of this city.

Day 2: Lisbon - Vila Nova de Milfontes (35 km; +/-400 m)
After breakfast, a short transfer awaits you to Santiago do Cacém, the starting point of your exciting cycling route through the serene countryside of Alentejo. As you pedal in this peaceful scenery, among freely grazing horses and vast cork fields, you will head towards the enchanting Porto Covo. This charming fishing village, with its houses painted in blue and white, was rebuilt by the Marquis of Pombal after the earthquake of 1755. Continuing along the coast, your eyes will be captured by the spectacular view of the Ilha do Pessegueiro, an island that adorns the Alentejo coast and is an integral part of the Costa Vicentina Park. Today's day will end with the arrival in Vilanova de Milfontes, a famous and vibrant seaside resort that stands majestically on the banks of the Mira river.

Day 3: Vila Nova de Milfontes - Odeceixe (65 km; +/-850)
Today's stage will take you to pedal along the beautiful coast, immersed in dream landscapes and majestic cliffs. Driving on paved roads, you will cross vast cultivated lands of berries and vegetables, until you reach the solitary lighthouse of Cabo Sardao. Your journey will continue along a panoramic and sandy road that will lead you to Zambujeira do Mar, passing through enchanting beaches such as Zambujeira, Carvalhal and Azenhas do Mar, jewels of the Costa Vicentina. Once in Zambujeira do Mar, you will be fascinated by this picturesque white village, perched on a towering cliff overlooking a wide sandy bay. The route will continue through green fields and along channels, up to a small road that will lead you into the magnificent valley of the Rio Seixe river. After crossing a bridge, you will finally arrive in Odeceixe, a quiet village located on a hill overlooking the estuary of the Seixe, on the border between Alentejo and Algarve.

Day 4: Odeceixe - Aljezur/Arrifana (39 km; +/-600 m)
Another fantastic day of cycling along the unspoilt coast awaits you! Your bike journey in the Algarve begins by following the course of the river until you reach the suggestive Praia de Odeceixe. Here, let yourself be enchanted by the spectacular rock formations and breathtaking views. The route then winds through agricultural fields and expanses of wheat, leading you to another fascinating beach. There are two challenging climbs waiting for you, after which the journey becomes quieter, winding through green fields and ancient channels, until you reach the peaceful valley of the Aljezur river, at Praia de Amoreira. After a rejuvenating stop, you will continue along the valley until you arrive at the historic town of Aljezur, known for the ruins of its 10th-century Moorish castle. Catch your breath, as two more new climbs await you: the first towards the castle and the second towards Monte Clerigo. After these, a gentler route awaits you, with slight ups and downs, which will take you through the picturesque remote villages of the Algarve.

Day 5: Aljezur/Arrifana - Sagres (52 km; +/-670 m)
Today awaits a stage that will give you some of the most extraordinary views of your tour. You will start with a long descent among the characteristic hills of the region, until the coast opens up again in front of you in all its splendor. After another climb, you will reach Vila do Bispo, from where only a few kilometers of wild natural beauty separate you from one of the most iconic places: Cabo de São Vicente. Often referred to as "the end of the world", this promontory is the southwesternmost point of Europe. Continuing pedaling you will arrive in Sagres, the final destination of the day.

Day 6: Sagres - Lagos (40 km; +/-800 m)
In Sagres, where the Algarve meets the ocean, the force of the wind will decide whether your stage will be a pleasant journey or an exciting challenge. Leaving Sagres behind, you will pedal towards Lagos, on a route dotted with ups and downs that shape the landscape. Crossing Vila do Bispo, you will find yourself immersed in postcard panoramas and beaches that sparkle with a local and authentic charm. This charming village, with its narrow streets winding around the church and houses telling the story of the most genuine Algarve, will invite you to discover its every secret. As you continue, the ups and downs will continue to challenge your stamina, but every effort will be rewarded with spectacular views that will accompany you throughout the journey. Once at Ponta da Piedade, west of Lagos, take a moment to admire its famous rock formations, natural wonders that anticipate the arrival in the picturesque historical center of Lagos.

Day 7: Lagos
After breakfast, end of services and individual departure.
Possible to take a train to Faro airport or request a private transfer.
