Description

Day 1: Bastia
Individual arrivals in Bastia where, depending on your arrival time, you can explore the surroundings especially: the charming citadel of Bastia, the old port, and the place of San Nicola. Spend your night in a charming village.

Day 2: Bastia – Saint Florent (82 km; +1407/-1399 m or 109 km; +1917/-1909 m)
In this first stage of your Corsica bike tour, you will head north, up to Capo della Corsica, a magnificent and wild part of the island. You will proceed along the eastern coast, enjoying the splendid panorama and crossing the northern part of Corsica through the Col de la Serra.

Day 3: Saint Florent – Calvi (66 km; +997/-999m or 102 km; +2118/-2121 m)
Your Corsica bike tour continues towards Balagne. After leaving the delightful bay of St Florent, you will cycle along the famous Désert des Agriates and the Col de Vezzu. Subsequently, you arrive in Balagne and you can admire its small and traditional mountain villages, from which you can enjoy a splendid view of the sea and the rest of the region.

Day 4: Calvi – Porto (75 km; +1331/-1289 m)
Today's stage will take you to discover one of the most beautiful coastal roads in Europe. Riding your bike, you will admire the wonderful panorama of the wild coast of Corsica with its mysterious wind-shaped rocks that seem to melt under the burning heat of the sun. The course continues crossing the Col de Palmarella, the Gulf of Girolata and the Natural Reserve of Scandola until you reach Porto.

Day 5: Porto (95 km; +2283/-2281 m)
This day will be about relaxation. You can spend the day between the sun, the beach, and the sea; or explore the picturesque village of Porto, the magnificent natural reserve of Scandola and the Calanches de Piana recognized as a UNESCO heritage site. Instead, the bravest cyclists can tackle and cycle around the Col de Sevi.

Day 6: Porto – Corte (31 km; +979/-984 m or 84 km; +2895/-2493 m )
Today you will head straight into the heart of Corsica: Corte. Starting from Porto, today's tour will take you to climb the Col de Vergio (1477m) for 30 km and to travel through magnificent landscapes like those of the Spelunca gorge or the mystical Aïtone forest. Subsequently, you will begin a descent and you will pass through the extraordinary Scala di Santa Regina.

Day 7: Corte- Castagniccia (95 km; +2894/-3281 m)
The area you will cross today owes its name to the chestnut woods, planted by the Genoese in the Middle Ages. As you might imagine, the region is rather wooded and presents some very old buildings, recalling the story of some of the greatest men from Corsica. Once you have passed the mountains, finally, you will cycle on quiet roads towards the East Coast to your last accommodation, located a few meters from the beach and close to Bastia airport.

Day 8: Castagniccia
After breakfast, end of services. Possibility to book a private transfer to Bastia airport.
