Description

Day 1: Arrival in Montreux/Vevey
Individual arrival and hotel accommodation. Enjoy a walk on the promenade and enjoy breathtaking views of Lake Geneva and the glittering white glaciers of the nearby Mont-Blanc massif.

Day 2: Montreux – Gruyère and surroundings (approx. 40-50 km, +600-800m/-500-735m)
From Vevey, you will take the rack railway to Mont-Pèlerin. The quiet roads will lead you to the source of the most popular cheese in Switzerland: Gruyère, which takes its name from the place where it is produced.

Day 3: Gruyère and surroundings – Gstaad and surroundings (approx. 40 km, +735m/-410m)
Today the scenery is postcard perfect: cheeses, chalets, snow-capped mountains and cable cars. You will then continue to Pays d’Enhaut and Saanen, set in a magnificent landscape and populated by happy mountain enthusiasts.

Day 4: Gstaad and surroundings – Lake Thun (approx. 55 km, +735m/-410m)
The artistically decorated wooden houses of Simmental will enchant you. You will cycle along the Simme river, and then arrive at Spiez, a paradise for water sports found on the lively Lake Thun.

Day 5: Lake Thun – Lake Sarnen (approx. 55 km, +1145m/-1200m)
After breakfast, a boat trip will take you from Spiez to Interlaken. On the shore of Lake Brienz awaits a steep climb to reach Meiringen where you can take the train through the Brünig Pass. You will then reach Obwalden, a small canton in a large valley: here you can admire a pre-alpine landscape with scattered villages, mirror-like lakes and ancient traditions.

Day 6: Lake Sarnen – Lucerne (approx. 35 km, +240m/-310m)
You will cycle towards Lake Lucerne, admiring the Pilatus massif which stands out on your path. Bay after bay, you will reach Lucerne, a must-see stop for anyone visiting these parts.

Day 7: Individual departure
After breakfast, the services end.
