Description

Day 1: Arrival in Zurich/Regensdorf
Individual arrival in Zurich/Regensdorf and hotel check-in.

Day 2: Zurich/Regensdorf – Olten (70 km)
Crossing the Furttal Valley and its Limmat river, you can admire the gothic stained glass windows of Königsfelden and the expanses of yellow irises of the Aare river floodplain, followed by a pleasant stretch on the Aare dam to Olten.

Day 3: Olten – Biel (70 km)
Today you will bike to the baroque Solothurn and along the winding Aare river, to reach Dreiseenland (Three Lakes Country). Only 130 years ago, this landscape was reshaped by man: the lake's level lowered and the marshes were drained. The lake area is now a hub for intense vegetable cultivation. You will then reach Biel, the most populous bilingual Helvetic city.

Day 4: Biel – Murten (50 km)
Today awaits a pleasant tour through the three lakes, ending in the medieval town of Murten – on the southeastern shore of the homonymous lake – which has preserved its original look, with the picturesque alleyways of the historic center and the pleasant shaded arcades.

Day 5: Murten – Yverdon-les-Bains (45-50 km)
From medieval Murten to the small town of Avenche. The town of Avenches is located in the wide Broye plain between the lakes of Neuchâtel and Murten, in the Canton of Vaud near the border with the Canton of Fribourg. This former capital of Helvetia has a rich and valuable Roman heritage and is definitely worth a visit. You will then return to Lake Neuchâtel, to continue to the Grande Cariçaie, the largest marshland in Switzerland: in this 40 km swamp and among the reeds that encircle the southern shores of the lake, over 100 bird species reproduce each year.

Day 6: Yverdon-les-Bains – Lausanne (55-65 km)
The terrain you will cover today is flat and fertile: you will bike through the Plain of Orbe, framed by Roman mosaics and the gentle hills of the Canton of Vaud, to then reach Mormont, the watershed of the Rhône and the Rhine. From here a change of scenery awaits you: from the wild waters of the Venoge river to the small silver "sea" of Lake Geneva.

Day 7: Individual departure
After breakfast, end of services.
