Day 1: Tours
Individual arrival in Tours. After settling in, take the opportunity to visit the city of Tours, particularly its old town, the vibrant heart of which is Place Plumereau. This lively square is framed by typical timber-framed houses and animated by the terraces of cafés and restaurants.

Day 2: Tours – Azay le Rideau (44 km; +95m)
Start by reaching the village of Savonnières, where you can visit the unique Petrifying Caves, famous for their calcareous creations formed from the water. The route continues to the Château de Villandry, renowned for its unique gardens in Europe, mixing flowers with fruit trees, vegetables, and aromatic herbs. The journey goes on through Saché, home to a museum dedicated to writer Honoré de Balzac, and ends in Azay le Rideau, where you can admire the splendid Renaissance château nestled in the Indre River.

Day 3: Azay le Rideau – Chinon (35 km; +200m)
Depart in the morning towards Langeais and its 15th-century fortress castle. Continue towards the Château d'Ussé, whose turrets, pinnacles, and gables inspired Perrault's famous fairy tale Sleeping Beauty. Spend the evening in the beautiful medieval town of Chinon, on the banks of the Vienne River, famous for its elegant red wines.

Day 4: Chinon – Saumur (36 km; +200m)
Before leaving Chinon, visit one of the cellars where the famous red wine is aged. The route then heads towards the Abbey of Fontevraud, one of the largest monastic complexes in Europe, housing the tombs of the Plantagenet dynasty kings. The tour ends in the beautiful town of Saumur.

Day 5: Saumur – Angers (58 km; +304m)

Day 6: Angers – St Florent le Vieil or Ancenis (50km; +246m or 67 km; +326m)
Today, cycle through the heart of the Anjou vineyards such as Coteaux de la Loire and Coteaux de l'Aubance. Visit Savennières before reaching the remarkable river island of Chalonnes, one of the largest in the Loire Valley. Day 7: St Florent le Vieil or Ancenis – Nantes (55km; +125m or 40 km; +95m)
Cycle along the Loire River, encountering a wide variety of natural landscapes and habitats for much wildlife and river birds. A tranquil stretch on a bike path leads to Champtoceaux, boasting one of the prettiest views of the Loire and situated at the border between Anjou and Brittany. The route follows the Loire's course to Nantes, the capital of the Loire-Atlantique department and one of France's most dynamic cities with an immense historical, artistic, architectural, and cultural heritage, which you can discover by strolling through its numerous pedestrian streets.

Day 8: Nantes – Saint-Brevin-les-Pins (58 km; +227m)
Leave the city by crossing the river on a small boat and continue on the La Loire à Vélo bike paths. The route then follows a narrow canal, crossing first a wetland area and then the countryside, until reaching the Loire estuary at Saint-Brevin-les-Pins, a seaside resort with a large beach framed by sand dunes and a pine forest, the ideal place to enjoy some well-deserved relaxation at the end of the journey.

Day 9: Saint-Brevin-les-Pins – Le Croisic + bus transfer (55 km; + 178m)
Today, cycle from the Loire estuary to the wild coast of Le Croisic. Start with a short bus journey across the Saint-Nazaire, the longest bridge crossing the Loire River, connecting Saint Nazaire with Saint-Brevin-les-Pins. Take the opportunity to discover the famous salt marshes of the medieval town of Guérande. Located in the heart of a natural park, this medieval town offers many testimonies of its historical past. Then continue along the wild coast before reaching Le Croisic, a beautiful port and coastal town in Loire-Atlantique.
