The Lakes of the Salzkammergut by e-mountain bike

Day 1: Bad Ischl
Individual arrival to Bad Ischl. After settling in, you will receive your information material and your travel documents. Transfer and overnight stay in Ebenau.

Day 2: Ebenau - Hintersee- Zwölferhorn St. Gilgen - Abersee/Strobl (57 km; +1542/-1604 m)
Today's route among the lakes of the Salzkammergut will take you from Ebenau to Zwölferhorn in St. Gilgen, via Faistenau and Hintersee. At Sausteigalm take a break for a snack and enjoy the breathtaking view over one of the most picturesque lakes in the Salzkammergut: the Wolfgangsee lake. The itinerary continues towards Illingerbergalm, before descending to the Wolfgangsee lake. Overnight stay at the lake in Abersee or Strobl.

Day 3: Abersee/Strobl - Postalm - Abtenau - Gosau (68 km; +1851/ -1646 m)
Today you will travel along the panoramic road that leads to Postalm, the second largest seasonal alp in Europe. Here you will find large pastures and many opportunities for lunch. From Postalm, the route descends towards Abtenau and continues to Gosau, via Buchbergriedel and Hornspitz. Overnight stay in Gosau.

Day 4: Gosau - Bad Goisern - Bad Aussee (67 km; +1390/ -1473 m)
In this final stage, you will cycle to the Gosausee lake, where you can enjoy a magnificent view of the Dachstein mountain before starting the descent towards the beautiful Löckenmoos area, pass the Mount Plassen and descend to the charming Hallstatt, Unesco Heritage site and one of the most beautiful Villages in Europe. The itinerary then continues along the eastern shore of the Hallstättersee lake to Bad Goisern. Then you follow the Zlambach and the Leislingbach creeks and, passing through Lupitsch, you reach Bad Aussee. Train transfer from Bad Aussee to Bad Ischl. Possibility to shorten the route by taking the train from Bad Goisern to Bad Ischl (-19.5 km; 455 m). End of services.
