Description

Day 1: Constance
Individual arrival in Constance and accommodation in a hotel. Depending on your arrival time, take some time to visit the island of Mainau, a true paradise of flowers thanks to its mild climate. Alternatively, you can stroll through the narrow streets of the old town of Constance, visit the fantastic aquarium at the Sea Life Center or, if you prefer history to marine life, the archaeological museum. Overnight stay in a hotel in Constance.

Day 2: Constance – Schaffhausen (50 km)
A splendid bike itinerary awaits you today along the southern shore of Lake Constance, among the picturesque fishing villages with their typical frescoed houses dating back to the Middle Ages. More than once crossing the border between Germany and Switzerland, you will reach Stein am Rhein, literally the stone on the Rhine. The city is indeed located at the exact point where the lake again becomes the Rhine. Continuing on, you will meet Schaffhausen, a medieval center with beautiful walled works decorated with bow windows and the facades of artistically painted houses. Dominating the city, the Munot fortress, with its unusual circular shape and emblem of the city, still houses, since 1377, the Office of the fortress guardian which has the task of overseeing the maintenance of order and legality. With the night falling, you will feel as if you have been transported back in time.
Overnight stay in a hotel in Schaffhausen.

Day 3: Schaffhausen – Zurich (55 km)
After breakfast, a short bike ride will take you to the Rhine Falls, the largest in Europe. An exciting boat tour awaits you, allowing you to savor this natural spectacle from close up. The day continues by bike along the Glatt Valley and up to Zurich, a fascinating and cosmopolitan city that has elegantly combined tradition and modernity. Its historic district, in particular, has preserved its ancient charm while also housing modern colorful buildings. The numerous cafes and clubs make the historic center even more inviting. Overnight stay in a hotel in Zurich.

Day 4: Zurich – Lachen (45 km)
Today's bicycle itinerary develops along the northern shore of Lake Zurich, the so-called gold coast. In the picturesque Rapperswil, the city of roses, you can take a break and climb to the old castle from where you can enjoy a beautiful view of the lake and the surrounding countryside. Back on your bikes, you will cross Lake Zurich along the dam, and then continue on the opposite shore to the town of Lachen, a perfect place to watch the sunset and reward yourself with a fine dinner by the lake. Overnight stay in a hotel in Lachen.

Day 5: Lachen – Vaduz (30 km) | boat tour
Today's stage will take you cycling along the Linth Canal, an artificial waterway located between Lake Zurich and Lake Walen, built in the early 19th century to prevent flooding caused by the Linth river and its tributaries. In Weesen you will then embark for a pleasant navigation stretch on Lake Walen; the boat will take you to Walenstadt, where you can go for a relaxing swim in the lake, with the striking peaks of the Churfirsten mountains in the background. Later you will reach Vaduz, the capital of Liechtenstein, a pearl in the Rhine valley. Overnight stay in a hotel in Vaduz.

Day 6: Vaduz – St. Gallen (55 km) | train
Today you will cycle a bit along the Rhine before boarding a train from the Appenzeller Bahnen, which will take you from Gais to St. Gallen through beautiful landscapes dominated by typical green expanses with cows grazing. The center of St. Gallen is not very large, but it houses precious treasures such as the abbey with the baroque cathedral and the wonderful library, considered one of the most important historical libraries in the world. Here too, alongside ancient buildings, there are modern ones; standouts include the square coated in red as if it were a lounge and the Beer Bottle Museum. Overnight stay in a hotel in St. Gallen.

Day 7: St. Gallen – Constance (45 km)
After breakfast, enjoy the descent towards Lake Constance until you reach Arbon, a medieval town located on the southern shore of the lake. From here, you will continue almost always along the shores of the lake through orchards and many villages where you can admire the characteristic half-timbered houses, then finally return to Constance. If you have not already done so, you can visit the island of Mainau, take a pleasant walk or enjoy an ice cream at the harbor. Overnight stay in a hotel in Constance.

Day 8: Constance
After breakfast, end of services and individual departure.
