Description

Day 1: Villach
Individual arrival in Villach and hotel accommodation. The city, crossed by the Drava River and not far from the Italian border, is very interesting from both cultural and naturalistic points of view. Don't miss the opportunity to take a walk through the streets of the center to Hauptplatz square.

Day 2: Villach - St. Veit/Glan (56 km)
After breakfast, you can take another short tour of Villach, the second-largest city in Carinthia, before heading north. As soon as you leave Villach, Landskron Castle will appear, overlooking Ossiacher See lake. You will bike along the lake through small villages and beaches to the city of Feldkirchen. From here, continue along the valley of the Glan River to Maltschach and then arrive at St. Veit, the oldest city in Carinthia.

Day 3: St. Veit/Glan - Klagenfurt/Wörthersee (30 km)
Before starting today's stage, dedicate some time to visit St. Veit: the medieval old town is perfectly preserved and the main square is known for its profusion of flowers throughout the country. From St. Veit you will cycle towards Klagenfurt, the capital of Carinthia, passing through the historic center of Zollfeld with the ducal seat and the Cathedral of Maria Saal. A short distance away you will reach Wörthersee, the largest and most loved lake in Carinthia. In the late afternoon, you will have time to visit the city center of Klagenfurt and its symbol: the Lindwurm, a dragon-shaped fountain dating back to the 6th century.

Day 4: Klagenfurt/Wörthersee - Villach (45 km)
Today you can choose whether to cycle on the southern or northern shore of Wörthersee to Velden. In any case, you will enjoy the turquoise waters of Carinthia's most famous lake. From Velden you will then continue to Rosegg, where you can visit the beautiful park, where animals run freely in their natural environment, and the castle with the maze. From here you will travel the famous Drava cycle path to Villach.

Day 5: Villach - Faaker See - Villach (30 km)
Last stage dedicated to Faaker See, fabulously surrounded by mountains and dominated by the peak of Mittagskogel. The lake is much loved especially for the wide range of water sports and here you can take advantage of one of the numerous beaches to relax with a refreshing swim or admiring the turquoise blue waters of the lake. Return to Villach via Maria Gail.

Day 6: Villach
After breakfast, end of services and individual departure.
