Description

Day 1: Villach/Warmbad/Lake Faaker
Individual arrival in Villach/Warmbad/Lake Faaker. Parking is available near the hotel.

Day 2: Villach/Warmbad/Lake Faaker – Lake Ossiacher See – Villach/Warmbad/Lake Faaker (55 km)
Following the Gailtal bike path, you will head towards Lake Ossiacher today. Surrounded by the splendid scenery of the mountains, you will cross lively and renowned holiday resorts; after passing the Ossiach Monastery, you will soon see Lake Ossiacher in the distance, with its clear, intensely green waters a strong call to take a last dip before returning to Villach/Warmbad/Lake Faaker.

Day 3: Villach/Warmbad/Lake Faaker – Lake Wörthersee – Klagenfurt – Villach/Warmbad/Lake Faaker (45 km)
For the first few kilometers, you will follow the Drava bike path through a typically rural landscape. Once you reach Lake Wörthersee, you can choose from countless fun activities for the whole family: rest on a beach, rent a canoe or kayak, or take a refreshing dip. Continuing along the route through bustling towns, you will reach Klagenfurt, renowned for its Renaissance architecture. Return to Villach/Warmbad/Lake Faaker by train.

Day 4: Villach/Warmbad/Lake Faaker – Tarvisio – Alpe Adria bike path – Villach/Warmbad/Lake Faaker (65 km)
In the morning you will take the train to Tarvisio, a border city famous for summer and winter sports. You will then start cycling along the Alpe Adria bike path following the old railway. You will cross the Val Canale in an evocative succession of tunnels and bridges over the valley until you reach Venzone, a small town with medieval charm. The return journey takes place by train, specifically designed for bike transport.

Day 5: Villach/Warmbad/Lake Faaker – Kranjska Gora (Slovenia) – Tarvisio (Italy) – Villach/Warmbad/Lake Faaker (55 km)
After a short transfer to Kranjska Gora (Slovenia), you will cycle along a comfortable and well-maintained bike path along an old railway towards the border town of Tarvisio, known for its traditional market. Along the Alpe Adria bike trail, you will return to your hotel.

Day 6: Villach/Warmbad/Lake Faaker – Hermagor – Lake Pressegger – Villach (55 km)
In the morning, you will reach Hermagor by train. The bike tour will start along the Gail Valley bike path that follows the river of the same name. The wide valley leaves a lot of space for nature and the bike path crosses pristine landscapes. Soon you will meet Lake Pressegger, one of the smallest in Carinthia. Before reaching Villach, you will travel a stretch at the feet of the majestic Dobratsch peaks in a lush protected area created after the fall of a significant landslide. You will then continue to Villach following the river which here flows calm and flat, inviting you to take a dip.

Day 7: Villach
After breakfast, end of services and individual departure. Possibility to extend the stay.
