Description

Day 1: Marmora – Gardetta Plateau – Esischie Pass – Marmora (45 km; +1300 m)
Arrival at Marmora, meeting with the mountain bike guide, check-up of equipment and start of the Maira Valley tour: climb towards the Gardetta Plateau, part of the Italian Geological Heritages due to its morphological variety. After a short stop at the homonymous refuge, continue along the military road that crosses the entire plateau to Valcavera Pass (2416 m), the Fauniera Pass (2511 m) and the Esischie Pass (2370 m), from which return to Marmora on a dirt road or trail. Arrival and hotel accommodation. Dinner included.

Day 2: Marmora – Sampeyre Pass – Marmora (45 km; +1100 m)
In the morning, continuation of the MTB tour towards the other side of the Maira Valley, bordering the Varaita Valley. The first part of the climb is on a narrow and winding asphalt road that often slips between the rocks through narrow natural tunnels: a route of sure effect! Subsequently, the valley opens up, alternating paved sections with dirt sections, ascending towards the top of the Sampeyre Pass (2284 m). Return to Marmora along easy roads or more challenging paths, greetings and end of the tour or extension of the program.
