Day 1: Lienz

Individual arrival in Lienz and luggage accommodation at the hotel. Located in the heart of Eastern Tyrol and at the confluence of the Isel and Drava rivers, this region boasts the title of being the sunniest holiday area in Austria with two thousand hours of sunshine per year. The breathtaking panorama that opens onto the Alps and the Dolomites of Lienz will give you a first taste of the enchantment that this trip promises.

Day 2: Lienz – San Candido – Lienz (45 km) + train

The day begins with a comfortable train journey from Lienz to San Candido, which will immerse you in the warmth of the Alpine valleys. Here, the young Drava river winds burbling through the Puster Valley. Majestic fortresses, castles and palaces tower over the valley, telling stories of wealth and power from yesteryears. Along the route, modest Romanesque chapels, Gothic and Baroque churches, enriched with crucifixes and votive columns, invite you to brief stops. Day 3: Lienz – Berg (35 km)

Starting from Lienz, where the Isel and Drava rivers join, you will once again follow the course of the Drava. Day 4: Berg – Spittal (45 km)
