Description

Day 1: Galway
Individual arrival in Galway or Clonbur and hotel check-in. After collecting your travel documents and bikes, you will have time to explore this lively medieval city. Galway, packed into a small piece of land between the bay and Lough Corrib, is a vibrant university town rich in history. The city offers an incredibly evocative atmosphere with its docks, quays, bobbing boats, colorful city center streets, and numerous characteristic places offering excellent seafood and oyster gastronomy (a local speciality) and plenty of traditional music - a warm welcome awaits you.

Day 2: Clonbur – Westport (60 km)
In the morning, a transfer will take you to Clonbur, where your first bike stage begins. Cycling northwards along quiet secondary roads, you'll cross green fields dotted with grazing sheep, reaching Lough Mask for a pleasant ride around the lake. You can stop for lunch at a pub overlooking the lake. In the afternoon, await the most challenging climb of the week, on Mount Partry, offering breathtaking views of the surroundings. The stage ends in Westport.

Day 3: Westport – Leenane (53 km)
By cycling between Croagh Patrick and the beautiful Clew Bay, with its many small islands, you will reach the village of Louisburgh, where you can stop for lunch. In the afternoon, heading south you'll encounter Delphi Valley, offering a breathtaking view with its beautiful lake and topped by Ben Bury. Finally, you'll arrive in the small village of Leenane, overlooking the port of Killary, Ireland's only fjord.

Day 4: Leenane – Clifden (58 km)
Today's cycle tour takes you to the heart of Connemara, surrounded by the Twelve Bens mountain range. Visit captivating Kylemore Abbey, a wedding present from a Liverpool businessman to his wife, in 1868. You'll then cycle along quiet secondary roads, passing small fields with grazing livestock, until you reach the coastal settlement of Cleggan. In the afternoon, cycle along the coastal road to Clifden, from where you can see Omey Island, accessible by car only during low tide. Clifden is the capital of Connemara, here you'll stop for two nights. A charming town rich in cafes, pubs, restaurants, and art galleries, founded 200 years ago as a whim of John D’Arcy.

Day 5: Clifden
This day can be spent relaxing or enjoying a walk, a game of golf or horse riding. Relaxation is guaranteed, either on the white sands of the beautiful local beaches or in town, waiting for you are museums, galleries, and bookshops. Also, in the evening, numerous bars offer traditional music.

Day 6: Clifden – Aran Islands (58 km)
You'll leave Clifden heading towards the Aran Islands. Following small rivers and crossing the picturesque bog road, enjoy stunning views of the surrounding countryside before reaching Rossaveel in the afternoon, from where you'll depart by ferry for Inis Mor, the largest of the Aran Islands, where you'll spend the night.

Day 7: Inis Mor (35 km) | ferry to Rossaveel and transfer to Galway
Most of the day is dedicated to exploring the island, with the ruins of ancient forts and monasteries. In the afternoon, you'll take the return ferry to Rossaveel, where the transfer back to Galway awaits you for the last overnight stay of the tour.

Day 8: Galway
After breakfast, services end and individual departure.
