Description

Day 1: Bordeaux
Individual arrival in Bordeaux and hotel check-in, delivery of bicycles if rented. Bordeaux can be seen both on foot and by bicycle and surely deserves at least a half-day visit.

Day 2: Bordeaux – Camiran (63 km)
Departure from Bordeaux, along the cycling path winding between the Dordogne and the Gironde, through the vineyards of the Entre Deux Mers region, passing by the Bastide of Créon and La Sauve Majeure, an ancient Benedictine abbey founded in 1070. The journey then continues to Saint Martin, crossing the beautiful medieval town of Sauveterre de Guyenne, with its 4 entrance doors and the Bastide, dating back to 1281. The town is also the capital of the Entre Deux Mers (AOC) wine canton. The route is entirely on a cycling path and on the green line named "Roger Lapébie" after the famous cyclist, winner of the Tour de France in 1937. Overnight stay in a hotel with a pool. Dinner included.

Day 3: Camiran – Le Mas d’Agenais (38 km)
From Camiran, today, you will follow small quiet roads to La Réole, a real balcony on the Garonne, which has developed around the ancient Benedictine priory. The bike path along the Canal de la Garonne is then resumed, arriving at Fourques-sur-Garonne and then at Le Mas d’Agenais. Overnight stay in a guesthouse, an old farmhouse with a small pond.

Day 4: Le Mas d’Agenais – Sérignac sur Garonne (37 km)
At Le Mas d’Agenais, do not miss the visit to the beautiful Romanesque church that contains a real treasure: The Christ on the cross by Rembrandt. The journey continues along the shaded banks of the canal, with several chances to take a break; passing by the bastide of Damazan, founded in 1259, you will arrive at Sérignac. Overnight stay in a former monastery, now a hotel with tennis court and swimming pool.

Day 5: Sérignac sur Garonne – Moissac (55 km)
The journey continues along the Canal de la Garonne, passing by the superb Agen Canal Bridge, a truly amazing engineering work. Agen's town center, the capital of the department, is definitely worth a visit. A bucolic itinerary, amidst several orchards and vineyards, leads to Moissac, a center of Romanesque art located on the Camino de Santiago de Compostela. The Saint Pierre abbey complex and the cloister, masterpieces of Romanesque art, are part of UNESCO World Heritage. In Moissac, the Tarn river meets the Garonne river.

Day 6: Moissac – Toulouse (67 km)

Following a varied and stimulating route along the Garonne and its canal, you will finally reach Toulouse, known as the Pink City, due to the color that adorns its buildings.

Day 7: Toulouse
After breakfast, end of services.
