Day 1: Villach
Individual arrival in Villach and hotel accommodation.

Day 2: Villach - Tarvisio (35 km)
After breakfast, you will leave Villach by pedalling on the Alpe Adria Bike Route along the Gail river, soon leaving Austria behind to welcome Italy. At the centre of the valley between Italy, Austria and Slovenia is the Italian city of Tarvisio: Austrians, Slovenians and Italians have lived here for centuries, in a great meeting of European cultures.

Day 3: Tarvisio - Venzone (60 km)
The Alpe Adria Bike Route, thanks to a cycle path in excellent condition, will allow you to calmly cycle downhill through the Val Canale, admiring the beauty of the Friulian alpine region with its untouched and unspoilt nature. Your day will end in one of the picturesque villages located at the foot of the Julian Alps.

Day 4: Venzone - Udine (55 km)
Moving south from the Val Canale, you will encounter one of the most beautiful historic villages in Friuli Venezia Giulia. The centrepiece of the village of Gemona del Friuli is the majestic Cathedral of Santa Maria Assunta, which will leave you open-mouthed. Along the way to Udine you will encounter the first vineyards and vines along the Alpe Adria Bike Route. Once you arrive in the city, experience the dolce vita in front of a coffee enjoyed in the square or during a walk in the alleys while admiring the late Gothic and Renaissance architecture.

Day 5: Udine - Grado (55 km)
Today you will cross a vast scenery of reeds and pedal along the water channels towards the Gulf of Venice. In the Roman city of Aquileia, the so-called 'second Rome,' we recommend planning a break before reaching the final destination of your holiday. One of the most famous seaside resorts on the Adriatic, the historic fishing town of Grado, will not only thrill you with its wide sandy beach, but also with its historic port and narrow alleys with delicious restaurants that exude all the Italian charm.
