Description

Day 1: Salzburg
Arrival in the city of Mozart. Take a walk along the Salzach River while enjoying an ice cream, admire the rooftops of Salzburg from the top of the Kapuzinerberg hill or start with a shopping tour in the Getreidegasse to fully grasp the charm of this city: Salzburg exudes culture everywhere and will amaze you regardless of your age! Welcome meeting and distribution of bicycles if rented.

Day 2: Salzburg – Holzöster (30 or 45 km)
After a short train ride you will arrive in Oberndorf (more trained cyclists can reach Oberndorf by bike), the birthplace of the most famous Christmas carol ever: Silent Night. Then, you will cycle along the enchanting Salzach River, in the varied nature of the Austrian moor: here await you the warm Höllerersee and Holzöstersee lakes, with their perfect beaches for families. It will feel like being in a small garden of Eden.

Day 3: Holzöster, Wanderbauerngolf or Circular Tour to Burghausen (40 km)
After a swim in the wonderful warm moor lake, have fun with some Wanderbauerngolf, a special type of mini golf played along adventurous paths, with wooden clubs. Alternatively, you can also do another bike tour along the Salzach River to Burghausen, a beautiful city with a fascinating historical center.

Day 4: Holzöster – Trumer Lakes (35 km)
Here in the nature reserve, time seems to have stopped. You will cross this animal paradise to Michaelbeuern and from there you will deep dive into the Salzburg lakes tour, venturing into the Trumer district with its three crystal clear lakes: the Obertrumer See, the Mattsee and the Grabensee. This is the ideal place to cool off, have fun and relax in the sparkling water after the bike ride.

Day 5: Free Day at Trumer Lakes
Fancy a nice dip in the water? Not one, but three great Salzburg lake beaches are waiting for you. This place has much to offer: you can also experience the suspended adventure of the high rope course and sway up to 35 meters. Or take a short bike ride along the Obertrumer See.

Day 6: Trumer Lakes – Mondsee Lake (45 km)
Today you will cross the nature reserve of the picturesque Egelseen lakes to Schleedorf and from there continue the tour of the Salzburg lakes along the sparkling Irrsee lake to Mondsee lake. During your bike tour you can taste Austrian cuisine, with dishes such as the schnitzel and apple strudel, in one of the many inns.

Day 7: Mondsee Lake – Salzburg (40 km)
Today's route leads you through lush meadows along the Thalgau cycle path and then to Eugendorf. From here you will continue on the tracks of the disused Ischler railway to the Salzach river and then, along the Tauri cycle path, into the centre of Salzburg. As a reward you can afford a delicious ice cream or try the original Salzburg chocolates, called Mozartkugeln, in the place of their creation. Dedicate a little time to this city. There is so much to see, but we recommend a visit to Mozart's birthplace, the cathedral, the Mirabell palace, the Hohensalzburg castle or the fountains of Hellbrunn castle. The Hellbrunn zoo is a must for all animal lovers.

Day 8: Salzburg
After breakfast, end of services and individual departure.
