Description

Day 1: Strobl
Individual arrival in Strobl and delivery of travel documents. After settling your luggage, explore the beautiful Wolfgangsee lake, named after the 10th century bishop Wolfgang of Regensburg. If you have time, we recommend visiting the Weisses Rössl church or take a stroll along the lake shores to admire the surrounding landscape.

Day 2: Strobl – Wolfgangsee – Bad Ischl – Strobl (34 km; +/-348 m)
Today you will cycle along the old Ischlerbahn railway line. On the southern shore of the Wolfgangsee, near the Blinklingmoos nature reserve, you will take a ferry to Abersee that takes you to the other side of the lake. We suggest a visit to St. Wolfgang on the northern shore, where you can admire the pilgrimage church dedicated to St. Wolfgang of Regensburg and its historical-artistic treasures. Cycling through Pfandl, you will then reach the ancient imperial city of Bad Ischl, famous for its salt production since the 12th century. Following the small river Ischl, return to Strobl on the Wolfgangsee where you will spend the night.

Day 3: Strobl – Mondsee (29 km; +287/-344 m)
Starting from the picturesque town of Mondsee, cycle along the south shore of the lake, passing through the Mozartian city of St. Gilgen. The cycle path offers a stunning view over the city below, amidst villas and Mozart's mother's birthplace. The route continues towards the picturesque Krottensee and then climbs to Scharflingerhöhe, offering spectacular views of the surrounding area. Once you reach the crescent-shaped Mondsee, stop to admire the spectacular Drachenwand: the most impressive mountain of Mondsee, famous for its perfectly aligned walls that rise for 400 meters in elevation. Overnight in Mondsee.

Day 4: Mondsee – Irrsee Lake – Mondsee (24 km; +/-251 m)
Discover the village of Mondsee, and don't forget to visit the beautiful collegiate church of the monastery, famous also because here were shot some scenes from the film The Sound of Music. Riding your bike, explore Irrsee Lake, located north of the city and considered the warmest lake of the Salzkammergut, surrounded by reeds that offer a protected habitat for many endangered species of birds and animals. Along the way, enjoy the natural beauty of the lake and the surrounding bog that will accompany you back to Mondsee where you will spend the night.

Day 5: Mondsee – Unterach – Seefeld (26 km; +295/-316 m)
Today's stage will take you along the northern shore of Mondsee, passing through Au am Mondsee to Unterach am Attersee. The distance between Mondsee and Attersee is only four kilometers, but the turquoise lake looks like a real mountain lake, with the rock walls of Höllengebirge rising almost up to the sky. The summer resort of Attersee has captivated artists for over a century, like Gustav Klimt who painted the town of Weißenbach. Finally, return to Seefeld, on Attersee Lake, where you will spend the night.

Day 6: Seefeld – Bad Ischl – Bad Goisern (34 km; +/-575 m)
After bidding farewell to the Attersee region, your bike journey will take you through Inner Salzkammergut. Cycling along the easy Salzkammergut cycle path and passing through spectacular panoramas of the Weissenbach Valley you will arrive at Bad Ischl. The day ends in the peaceful town of Bad Goisern.

Day 7: Bad Goisern – Obertraun – Hallstatt – Bad Goisern (30 km; +/-575 m)
Today you'll ride from Bad Goisern to Steeg then continue along the eastern shore of Hallstatt Lake to Obertraun, where you can visit the spectacular Dachstein Caves, especially the "Mammoth Cave". The route continues along the lake to the enchanting village of Hallstatt, one of the most beautiful towns in Europe and a UNESCO Heritage site. We advise you to explore this wonderful village before getting back on the saddle and return, still pedaling along the lake shore, to Bad Goisern.

Day 8: Bad Goisern
After breakfast, services end and individual departure.
