Description

Day 1: Salzburg
Individual arrival in Salzburg, check-in and hand over of your travel documents.

Day 2: Salzburg – Lake Attersee (60 km/37 mi.)
The delivery of your rented bike (if booked) is at Hotel Amedia on your first cycling day before you leave Salzburg. Today you will start your cycle tour leaving Salzburg via Lake Wallersee to the picturesque Lake Mondsee and continue cycling to Austria’s largest fresh waters, Lake Attersee. Overnight at Lake Attersee.

Day 3: Lake Attersee – Lake Traunsee (30 km/19 mi.) + boat trip on Lake Traunsee
A short climb will take you to Weißenbach Valley. You will be rewarded by a speedy descent to River Traun before your cycle route takes you to Ebensee. Overnight in Gmunden.

Day 4: Lake Traunsee – Lambach (30 km/19 mi.) + train to Linz
Today you will cycle beside River Traun and reach Lambach, where you will take the train to Linz. Don’t miss to taste the delicious cake Linzer Torte. Overnight in Linz.

Day 5: Linz – Grein/surroundings (60 km/37 mi.)
Cycling via the small town of Mauthausen, follow the cycle path through beautiful Danube meadows, where rare animals and plants can still be seen. Overnight in Grein/Bad Kreuzen.

Day 6: Grein/surroundings – Wachau Valley (65 km/40 mi.)
Visit at Greinburg Castle the Maritime Museum and in Grein, Austria’s oldest theatre. Get to know the impressing landscapes during this cycle route and forested rock formations of the Strudengau region. Overnight in the Wachau Valley.

Day 7: Wachau Valley – Tulln (65 km/40 mi.) + train to Vienna
This bike tour through the Wachau Valley, UNESCO world heritage region is truly a cultural firework with popular wine cellars and unique landscapes. Overnight in Vienna.

Day 8: Vienna – Salzburg by train
Breakfast and return transfer by train to Salzburg (included).
