Description

Day 1: Montpellier
Individual arrival in Montpellier, one of the most beautiful French cities. The historical center is rich with medieval, renaissance, and classic monuments. Montpellier also hosts the oldest medical faculty in the world and one of the most important museums in France, the Musée Fabre. The Mediterranean atmosphere that reigns in the city will captivate you and invite you to explore its beautiful squares and its many bars and restaurants.

Day 2: Montpellier – Sommières (35 km)
This first bike trip will take you through the exceptional landscapes and small villages of Languedoc to reach the village of Castries, which boasts one of the most beautiful castles in the region, also known as the Versailles of Languedoc. You will then proceed to Sommières, a small medieval town whose majestic Roman bridge over the Vidourle river, whose construction is attributed to Emperor Tiberius, testifies to its ancient past.

Day 3: Sommières – Nîmes (30 km)
Today on the bike you will cross the famous French region of Vaunage where the Protestants, between 1703 and 1705, fought against the troops of King Louis XIV. The sight of several romantic villages will accompany you to Nîmes, also known as the French Rome because of its extraordinary historical heritage. Don't miss the opportunity to take a walk in the historic center, where you will find an incredible collection of buildings dating back to Roman times: Nîmes was one of the most important cities of Gaul.

Day 4: Nîmes – Aigues Mortes (45 km)
Today's route will take you cycling through the natural region of the Small Camargue and along the Rhône-Sète Canal to reach Aigues-Mortes, an ancient perfectly preserved medieval city surrounded by water and the Saline of Midi, whose salt mountains and pink water mirrors will leave you breathless.

Day 5: Aigues Mortes – Camargue – Aigues Mortes (20 km)
Today you will immerse yourself in the uncontaminated nature of the Camargue: an extraordinary loop route will take you to the heart of the marshes before returning you to the hotel. On this day, you can also decide to take a boat trip or walk on the city's ramparts, from where you can enjoy breathtaking views. If you're looking for some relaxation, remember that the Mediterranean beaches are just a few kilometers away.

Day 6: Aigues Mortes – Montpellier (40 km)
In this last bike stage, you will cycle along the Mediterranean coast, with its sandy beaches, and the Rhône-Sète Canal, which connects the Rhone to the Canal du Midi. Take a break in the lively fishing port of Le Grand du Roi before reaching the seaside resort of La Grande Motte which, with its futuristic architecture dating back to the 60s, has been included among the treasures of French 20th century Heritage. Arrival in Montpellier.

Day 7: Montpellier
After breakfast, end of services and individual departure.
