Description

Day 1: Arrival in Galway
Begin your journey by savoring the vibrant atmosphere that has made Galway a mecca for musicians, artists, actors, and tourists. Take a stroll through the cobbled streets of the city center teeming with bohemian-style cafes, traditional pubs, and small craft shops. Overnight at a city Bed&Breakfast.

Day 2: Galway – Kinvara – Lisdoonvarna (50Km)
With a private transfer you will reach Kinvara, from where your cycling journey through Ireland begins. Start pedalling on the peaceful Moy road, in the heart of the Burren. The landscapes are typical limestone of the area and along the road, you can choose to stop and visit the Burren Perfumery, where they produce artisanal perfumes and cosmetics inspired by Irish nature. Overnight at a Bed&Breakfast in Lisdoonvarna.

Day 3: Lisdoonvarna – Cliffs of Moher – Lisdoonvarna (50Km)
Today, you will reach the spectacular Cliffs of Moher, an essential stop on your cycling journey in Ireland. The cliffs here rise up to over 200 meters: walking at this height overlooking the sea is a truly unique experience. The walking trail leads to Hag’s Head, a magnificent and secluded viewpoint with access to the coast. The itinerary then continues towards the coastal villages of Lahinch and Liscannor, before crossing the ancient town of Kilfenora. Return to the Bed&Breakfast.

Day 4: Lisdoonvarna – Aran Islands – Lisdoonvarna (40Km)
Today your cycling journey through Ireland will take you to the famous Aran Islands. The peaceful and traffic-free roads, framed by strange fields and dry stone walls, make cycling the best way to explore them. On the island of Inishmor, you can visit the remains of the spectacular Dun Aonghusa Celtic Fort: perched on a cliff and 3000 years old, this place is unforgettable. Return to Lisdoonvarna in the afternoon and overnight.

Day 5: Lisdoonvarna – Ballyvaughan (35Km)
This will be a significant stage of your cycling journey in Ireland. You will cycle along the coast to Ballyvaughan, passing by Fanor beach and enjoying the beautiful views of Galway Bay and the rugged Atlantic Coast. Ballyvaughan is a picturesque coastal town with great cafes and pubs where you can dine in the evening.

Day 6: An around-tour in the Heart of the Burren (35Km)
From Ballyvaughan, bike towards a series of historical sites, some dating back to 3000 BC. Don’t miss the chance to taste the delicacies handmade in the chocolate factory you will find along the route, before returning to Ballyvaughan via the coastal road. Finally enjoy the nightlife in one of the village's whiskey bars.

Day 7: Ballyvaughan – Corcomroe Abbey – Kinvara (35Km)
Leaving Ballyvaughan, pedal north to Kinvara, passing by Corcomroe Abbey, a Cistercian abbey founded in 1200, a national monument situated in a very suggestive place, surrounded by nature and the peace of the Irish countryside. Inside you will find the remains of an 800-year-old mosaic. The route continues along the coast, where we recommend a visit to the Flaggy Shore, an important geosite where signs left by ancient glaciers that once covered the area are visible. This stretch of coastline also supplies the best seafood from the Atlantic Coast. Your cycling journey through Ireland will end in Kinvara, from which, with a private transfer, we will bring you back to Galway.
