Description

1st Day: Arrival at Lans en Vercors (10 or 20 km)
Individual arrival at Lans en Vercors and check-in at the hotel. Your electric or standard mountain bike will be delivered to your hotel. There will be an opportunity for a few test rides on the Via Vercors.

2nd Day: Lans en Vercors – St Nizier du Moucherotte (35 or 50 km)
The Via Vercors route takes you to the small village of St Nizier du Moucherotte, a fantastic balcony overlooking the Alps (You can see the Mont-Blanc to the Dévoluy, passing by the Vanoise, Chartreuse, Belledonne, Grandes Rousses). On the plain of St Nizier, you will enjoy the panoramic view of the Alps and discover the Resistance Necropolis. You will then return to Via Vercors or through the Bois des Mûres trail, which offers excellent views of the St Nizier Olympic ski jumping area. There are three farms at Lans en Vercors: Ferme de la Grand’Mèche, Ferme du Pic St Michel, and Les Saveurs du Vercors. The first two produce cheese, including Bleu du Vercors PDO, and the third produces jams, coulis, aperitifs, etc..

3rd Day: Lans en Vercors – Corrençon (30 or 50 km)
Today you can reach Villard de Lans either from the Via Vercors, which follows the route between Grenoble and Villard de Lans, or from the Allières plain – with magnificent views of the valley and mountains above Villard. Take a break in Villard de Lans, the largest village of this area. You will continue to Corrençon en Vercors, one of the smallest villages on the plateau, but also one of the most charming. Corrençon is a gateway to the Hauts Plateaux Natural Reserve – France’s largest natural reserve – offering in a stunning landscape setting, one of the most beautiful mountain golf courses in Europe, as well as a roller-blading track, and much more. Some farms await you to taste their delicious products, such as the Chèvrerie des Cabrioles, famous for goat cheese production, and La ferme des Perce-Neige, which produces Bleu du Vercors. In the right season, you can admire the Refuge du Clariant, a log house amidst the trails and the golf course. Meals and snacks are served all day on the fabulous terrace.

4th Day: Circular Tour around Corrençon (30 or 50 km)
A wonderful loop that allows you to explore the unique nature of Vercors: the plain of Château Julien, the Herbouilly meadow, the beautiful village of Valchevrière – destroyed during World War II – and finally Bois Barbu, which offers a magnificent view of Central Vercors and its cliffs, adorned with flowers during the summer months. Return to Corrençon via the small Liorin pass.

5th Day: Corrençon – Autrans (30 or 50 km)
Passing through Bois Barbu, you will reach the Bourne Gorges, then proceed towards the charming village of Méaudre and on to Via Vercors. At Méaudre, you can visit the Ferme des Colibris (which produces meat, organic potatoes and sausages). You will continue to Autrans, an extraordinary village ideally located and the cradle of cross-country skiing in France. The route crosses the Via Verte, or continues in the Claret forest, which offers a beautiful view.

6th Day: Autrans – Lans en Vercors (35 or 50 km)
Today, one of the most beautiful routes for e-MTB on the Vercors plateau awaits you, with its 600m of difference in height, country lanes, and forest paths. This route will lead you to the alpine pasture of La Molière, a wonderful balcony from which you can enjoy the view of seven mountain ranges, including Mont Blanc. You can take a break at the Molière refuge: here you can listen to the tinkling of the cowbells or the whistling of marmots that live in the vast alpine meadows sprinkled with yellow gentians. You will then descend to Lans en Vercors, being able to choose different routes to reach it.

7th Day: Departure
End of the trip after breakfast.
