Description

Day 1: Alghero
Private transfer or individual arrival in Alghero and overnight stay.

Day 2: Capo Caccia (54 km)
Start your journey with a ride through the narrow streets of the interesting historic center of Alghero, where the Catalan dialect is still spoken. Continuing west, along the Riviera del Corallo to Capo Caccia, where you can visit the famous caves of Neptune.

Day 3: Alghero – Bosa (50 km)
Pedal along a spectacular road overlooking the sea admiring the view of the Gulf of Alghero and Capo Caccia. The emotions continue when you see the pink, red and gray boulders of Capo Marargiu appear, where the last specimens of griffon fly. Sleep in Bosa, a medieval town dominated by the Malaspina castle and famous for its embroidery and gold filigree.

Day 4: Bosa – Santu Lussurgiu (54 km)
After visiting Bosa, you go into the hinterland and pass through Flussio and Tinnura, where women weave baskets of asphodel leaves as once again. Pedaling along a very suggestive road, cross Sagama to reach the source of S. Leonardo, an ideal place for a refreshing stop. End the day along a pleasant country road that takes you to Santu Lussurgiu, a town famous for equestrian crafts.

Day 5: Santu Lussurgiu – Cabras (57 km)
Return to the coast with a wonderful panoramic descent towards the Sinis ponds inhabited by pink flamingos, where one of the most beautiful places on the island is located: the bright white quartz beach of Is Arutas. Tonight you will stay in a cozy country hotel.

Day 6: the Sinis Peninsula (36 km)
Start your journey by cycling on the Sinis peninsula, between the sea and the ponds of elegant pink flamingos, the shining white quartz of Is Arutas beach and the fascinating Phoenician ruins of Tharros. Then go through the medieval center of Oristano and reach Arborea.

Day 7: the Costa Verde and the Dunes of Piscinas (56 km)
Immerse yourself in the natural beauty of the Costa Verde, one of the wildest on the island, up to the beach of Piscinas with its dunes up to 50 meters high: the largest in Europe.

Day 8: Arbus – Gonnesa (41 km)
This stage is dedicated to the ancient mining activity of Sardinia, with the fascinating abandoned mines of Ingortosu and Masua. After the enchanting cove of Cala Domestica and the suggestive rock of the Pan di Zucchero, you can enjoy the view of the surprising Nebida laundry immersed in the Mediterranean scrub.

Day 9: Gonnesa – Carloforte island – Calasetta (43 km)
After a beautiful descent to Fontanamare, reach Porto Scuso to embark for the island of Carloforte, famous for its bluefin tuna fishing. From Carloforte go to Calasetta on the island of Sant’Antioco, where you stop for the night.

Day 10: Calasetta – Sant’Anna Arresi (40 km)
Today you cycle through the meadows, green in spring and blond in summer, of the island of Sant’Antioco. In Tratalias, the Pisan sanctuary awaits you, one of the most significant monuments of the Sardinian Romanesque. Along the lake of Monte Pranu, breathe the sweetness and quiet of the flat countryside of Sulcis.

Day 11: the Southest Coast (57 km)
The final seal of your tour is the evocative and wild Costa del Sud, with its white beaches, lush nature and its imposing cliffs: Capo Malfatano with its 16th century tower, Capo Spartivento and Chia. In Nora, visit the ancient Phoenician settlement.

Day 12: Pula
End of services after breakfast.
