Description

Day 1: Andermatt
Individual arrival and hotel accommodation.

Day 2: Andermatt – Disentis (30 km; +650/-940 m)
The clear spring of the Rhine is located in Lake Toma, not far from the Oberalp Pass: this section is the most arduous of the route, which is why occasional cyclists start their journey at Disentis. In the Tujetsch valley, one of the richest and most fascinating sources of mineral deposits in the Alps can be found, as well as the monastic village of Disentis with its famous Benedictine abbey.

Day 3: Disentis – Ilanz (35 km; +770/-325 m)
Surselva – above the forest – is the largest Romansh-speaking region in the Canton of Grisons. The wild gorge of the Front Rhine is spectacular and is also known as the Grand Canyon of Switzerland.

Day 4: Ilanz – Bad Ragaz (55 km; +655/-715 m or 60 km; +825-910 m)
Chur, known for being the oldest city in Switzerland, has the highest density of restaurants in the country. Spend some time here before continuing your journey along the calm flowing Rhine River. In the evening, Maienfeld, famous for its Blauburgunder wine, awaits you.

Day 5: Bad Ragaz – Buchs (20 km; +65/-75 m 0 25 km; +25/-150 m)
The Grisons Domain, the fertile area known above all for its viticultural production, is located on a pile of slate debris. This is also where the famous Heidi's house is located.

Day 6: Buchs – Rorschach (65 km; +195/-240 m)
In Rheintal, district of the Canton of St. Gallen, the warm föhn wind often blows. Here, nature has had to adapt to the waterways of the Alpenrhein. This allowed for the formation of the largest freshwater delta in Europe, with a rich avifauna.

Day 7: Rorschach
After breakfast, end of services and individual departure.
