Description

Day 1: Arrival
Individual arrival at Santander or Bilbao and private transfer to the hotel in Campoo. Delivery and testing of rented bikes. Dinner at the hotel in Campoo.

Day 2: Campoo – Polientes (59 or 97 km)
This first bike stage will take you through unique and untouched landscapes. From the green mountain pastures of the Cantabrian Cordillera, you will descend along the river banks and, circumnavigating the Ebro Basin, passing the Montesclaros Monastery, immersed in the forest, before rejoining the river in the Valderrebile Valley. Today's final destination: the village of Polientes. For those following the shorter version, continue to follow the river to Polientes. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel in Polientes.

Day 3: Polientes – Valle de Zamanzas (43 km)
Today's route starts in the wide Valderredible Valley where you can visit the Romanesque church of San Martín de Elines along with other rock-cut churches typical of this region. The valley sides will then gradually start to narrow, transforming into a spectacular canyon flown over by eagles and vultures. Make a stop to visit the fairy-tale village of Orbaneja del Castillo with its waterfalls flowing down to the center of the village. Beyond the town of Pesquera de Ebro, you will reach the hotel in Valle de Zamanzas. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel in Valle de Zamanzas.

Day 4: Valle de Zamanzas – Medina de Pomar (36 or 63 km)
Today's itinerary follows a wide bend of the river and crosses some picturesque villages still unknown to tourists. The longer variant of the route will take you to the evocative medieval village of Puentedey, built on a natural rock bridge over the Nela river. Tonight you will stay in Castile, in the town of Medina de Pomar, with its Jewish quarter and the castle dominating the city and the surrounding landscape. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel in Medina de Pomar.

Day 5: Medina de Pomar – Frías (58 km)
From Medina de Pomar, it's back towards the Ebro River. From here, you begin to travel a quiet country road running along the river banks, where the valley opens up again. You will visit the Romanesque hermitage of San Pedro de Tejada and, resuming the route, you will pedal through another canyon that will lead you to the fertile valley surrounding Frías, a beautiful village built around a castle from which you can enjoy a wonderful view of the Ebro Valley. Your hotel is located in a small village not far from here. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 6: Frías – Haro (62 km)
Leaving Frías, the valley narrows again into another spectacular canyon, after which the bike route continues first along the banks of a reservoir surrounded by mountains, then through a series of short tunnels dug into the rock. You cross the town of Miranda de Ebro before passing between imposing peaks announcing the entrance into the immense La Rioja valley. Spend this night in the village of Haro, a Rioja wine production area, where you will surely have the opportunity to taste some glasses to accompany the traditional tapas.

Day 7: Haro – Laguardia (25 or 50 km)
Today you will sail, on your bike, through the vast sea of vineyards in La Rioja, crossing several picturesque villages with the Sierra de Cantabria mountains in the background and the Ebro River never too far away. The final destination of the day is the fortified medieval village of Laguardia, immersed in vineyards.

Day 8: Departure from Laguardia
After breakfast, at 9:00 am, a private transfer from Laguardia to Santander or Bilbao and end of services.
