Description

Day 1: Stockholm
Individual arrival, hotel check-in and bicycle pick-up in the afternoon. If you arrive early, you can take a first tour of the city admiring the main attractions, such as the charming area of Gamla Stan, beautifully preserved old town, or Haga Park, one of Sweden's most appreciated parks for its English-style lawns and several historical buildings.

Day 2: Stockholm (31 miles)
Along Lake Mälar, Sweden's third-largest lake, cycle to Drottningholm Palace, a UNESCO cultural heritage site. Drottningholm Palace is home to the royal family, situated on the lake's shores. Take your time to explore the beautiful palace and the Chinese pavilion dating back to the 18th century. The tour continues across bridges to the island of Södermalm. Also pass through Stockholm's old town, Gamla Stan, with its cobblestone alleys and inviting cafés, and the island of Skeppsholmen, with a remarkable modern art sculpture garden. Return the bikes and overnight in Stockholm.

Day 3:Stockholm – Gothenburg by train
After breakfast, you will take the train (including your luggage) to Gothenburg. In the afternoon you can explore the city on foot. Discover Sweden's second-largest city via a boat tour, visit the harbor with its historic ships and the Maritiman museum. Enjoy a cinnamon roll in the popular Hage neighborhood and stroll along Kungsportsavenyn Avenue. Garden lovers should visit Trädgårdsföreningen park; art lovers, the Gothenburg Art Museum. Pick-up the bikes and overnight stay in Gothenburg.

Day 4: Gothenburg – Kungsbacka (25 or 40 miles)
Leaving the city by bicycle, you will pass Särö, the former playground of the royal family and Gothenburg high society, where you can take a break if you wish. Cliffs, lush forests, bays and marinas will accompany you throughout the stage, and in the late afternoon, you will reach Kungsbacka, a beautiful coastal town with Tjolöholm Castle and its English-style gardens. Overnight in a hotel in Kungsbacka.

Day 5: Kungsbacka – Varberg (37 or 47 miles)
Today you can enjoy breathtaking views along the route, often lined with fields and horse farms. Once you reach Åsa, the sea will again become your travel companion until you reach Varberg where you can visit the fortress that houses the Bockstensmann, a medieval man’s body from the 14th century (not included in the fee), or enjoy a true Swedish sauna at the typical wooden Kallbadhus structure, located on the promenade. Overnight in a hotel in Varberg.

Day 6: Varberg – Falkenberg – Helsingborg (25 miles)
During this day, you will not miss the picturesque fishing and artisan villages. In Träslövsläge, you can have lunch with fresh lobsters and stroll through the oldest part of the town. The route then continues towards Falkenberg, one of the oldest towns in the area and later by train (about 90 minutes - not included in the fee) to Helsingborg, beautiful coastal town with the Stadshuset (City Hall), a neo-gothic work dating back to 1897, and the Kärnan, a 35-meter high tower, the sole remainder of the medieval fortress. Overnight in a hotel in Helsingborg.

Day 7: Helsingborg – Helsingør – Copenhagen (34 miles)
After breakfast, a short ferry crossing (20 minutes - not included in the fee) will take you across the strait, only 2,5 miles wide, that separates Sweden from Denmark. You will reach the Danish town of Helsingør, with its Kronborg, a fortress dating back to the 15th century where Shakespeare set Hamlet. The route continues along beautiful sandy beaches and stunning landscapes. Copenhagen, the pulsating cosmopolitan capital, elegant and sophisticated but also lively and dynamic, awaits you.

Day 8: Copenhagen
After breakfast, end of services and individual departure.
