Description

Day 1: Prague
Individual arrival in Prague and hotel check-in in the late afternoon. The magnificent capital, cut in half by the Vltava river, encloses romantic squares and magnificent architectures to be discovered.

Day 2: Prague
A day entirely dedicated to the free visit of the magical city of Prague. Walking through the streets of Malà Strana, you will breathe the mystical atmosphere of this capital. Walking on the Charles Bridge, a real symbol of the city, you will be attracted by the many artists who stop there. Museums, ancient rich palaces, and numerous churches await you.

Day 3: Prague – Mělnik (50 km; +218/-118m)
The first bike stage starts directly from Prague and takes you to cycle along the banks of the Vltava. Once out of the city, the cycle path has some gravel stretches and climbs before returning to be a comfortable course along the river. Today's destination is Mělnik, nestled on a rocky promontory surrounded by the vast flat expanses of Central Bohemia. Don't miss the opportunity to enjoy the sunset right here, at the confluence of the Elbe and Moselle, under the imposing profile of the castle sipping a glass of excellent local wine.

Day 4: Mělnik – Litomeřice (50 km; +58/-118m)
From today until the end of the journey, the Elbe river will accompany you. In this stage, you will cycle at times along the river, at times in the sweet Czech countryside, characterized by the first hop plantations whose plants can reach 7 meters in height. A few km from the arrival is the Terezin concentration camp. Overnight in Litoměřice.

Day 5: Litomeřice – Dečin (50 km; +120/-148m)
During this stage, the landscape changes: the countryside and the gentle Bohemian hills give way to higher and rocky hills while the cycle path flows calmly on a flat course, along the river and the valley carved over the centuries. After about twenty km from the start, you will find the Strechov castle (steep climb) from which you can enjoy a beautiful view of the river: don't miss a restorative break with strudel and coffee. Later in the afternoon, another large white castle on the cliff serves as a prelude to your arrival in the city of Dečin.

Day 6: Dečin – Pirna (45 km; +542/-558m)
After about ten km along the river, you can leave the bicycle to take a small 2 km walk in the woods towards Pravčická Brána, the largest natural rock bridge in Europe, from which you can enjoy a breathtaking view of the limestone pinnacles that made this area famous. Taking up the bike, you cross the border with Germany soon reaching Bad Schandau, a famous spa town. Shortly after, you arrive at the imposing Königstein castle, located on a hill from which you can enjoy a 360-degree view of Saxon Switzerland and the river, which right in front of the castle marks a spectacular bend. Later, near the village of Kurort Rathen, you can see the famous Bastei bridge, an imposing stone bridge built among the tops of very high rock pinnacles.

Day 7: Pirna – Dresden (25 km; +354/-351m)
The last short stage passes through the Pillnitz castle and then arrives in Dresden. Time available to visit this city that, after being almost destroyed by the bombings of World War II, was reborn as a cultural city, also after the restructuring of many historic buildings: an example of all is the Frauenkirche and the famous reconstructed cathedral.

Day 8: Dresden
After breakfast, the services end.
Individual departure or extension of the stay.
