Description

Day 1: Prague
Are you ready for the start of an extraordinary cycling adventure? You will arrive in Prague in the late afternoon and settle into a cozy hotel. The Czech capital, bisected by the majestic Vltava River, will offer you a glimpse of enchanting romantic squares and magnificent architecture waiting to be discovered. Prague, with its mix of history and culture, will be the perfect starting point for your exciting journey on two wheels.

Day 2: Prague – Mělník (58-70 km)
Leave behind the charm of Prague and prepare to immerse yourself in the heart of the Czech wine region. Despite the first small hill, the route will gently guide you to the town of Mělník. Along the way, you will pass by the baroque Troja Castle and follow the course of the Vltava River, which carves deep valleys and creates fascinating rock formations. During the day, you will have the opportunity to visit the castles of Nelahozeves and Veltrusy, true architectural gems. You will conclude the day in Mělník, the picturesque wine town overlooking the confluence of the Vltava and Elbe rivers.

Day 3: Mělník – Litoměřice (50 km)
Today you will traverse the serene region of the Elbe, a fertile area with no significant altitude changes. The route will lead you to the imposing fortress of Terezín, a witness to late 18th-century military architecture and, unfortunately, a darker past during World War II when it was used as a Jewish concentration camp by the Nazis. You will conclude the day in the historic and spiritual town of Litoměřice, a true dive into history.

Day 4: Litoměřice – Děčín (52 km)
Although the Bohemian Central Mountains region is hilly, you'll mainly follow the banks of the Elbe, surrounded by hills dotted with ancient ruins. This territory, once volcanic, has always been an ideal place for the construction of castles and fortresses, and cycling here will be like a journey through time.

Day 5: Děčín – Bohemian-Saxon Switzerland – Hřensko / Bad Schandau (25 km)
Today will be as extraordinary as it is flexible. In the morning, you can choose to continue by bike or board a boat to reach Hřensko. This picturesque village is located in the heart of the Bohemian-Saxon Switzerland National Park, where breathtaking trails among rocks, plateaus, deep gorges, and steep slopes await you. Don't forget to admire the wonder of the Pravčická Gate, the largest natural rock bridge in Europe.

Day 6: Bad Schandau – Dresden (50 km)
Today will be a day rich in history and natural beauty. Just outside Bad Schandau, you will encounter the imposing fortress of Königstein, followed by the striking rock formation with the Bastei bridge and romantic ruins. Continuing your ride, you will arrive in the Dresden valley, passing through the charming town of Pirna.

Day 7: Dresden
You will conclude your journey in historic Dresden, a city symbolic of German history. Here, art, culture, religious freedom, and economic prosperity intertwine in a fresco of centuries of history. Despite the devastating destruction during World War II, Dresden has been reborn and today offers a myriad of attractions for those seeking beauty and culture.
